| Episode 9!
Obstensibly about the Dancer of the Boreal Valley and the first half of Lothric Castle, this one saw us joined by Muss and devolving into even more nonsense than usual. Expect a lot of Trump chat.
And man, you should hear the stuff I had to cut! I was really torn about whether to include the Serbian prostitute "jokes" from the end... |

| It definitely felt like one of our best yet & nice choice of episode name. |

| If I'd left it all in, we'd have a Metal Wolf Chaos episode longer than the Dark Souls III episode. Plus, it kinda devolved into us reading out wikipedia segments and giggling at Youtube videos, which nobody wants to listen to. |

| I still think you should left in the fact that it was never released out of Japan. Still stunned by that one. |

| I've not listened for a while hence why I don't get one of your jokes about Andy recently, as even though the first few episodes were great, it felt like I should be playing DSIII alongside you guys or at least more invested in the series. Which I am not, I've tried and may try again when DSIII is cheap.
But this special I felt like Jay where I've dabbled in MonHan, I own MH3U on Wii U which I have played with a few of you but my 9hr playtime is rather pathetic for the series. Also I've played Monster Hunter, MH3U (3DS), MH4U, MHTri, Freedom Unite (I had the special edition PSP) and Freedom 2, so a bit like Souls I've mostly played the most games in the series but know as little as Jay in this case.
I tried the demo of MHX and seems more of the same to me of what was in the rest of the games, I know your going to tell me the difference between the core numbered games, generations and the freedom games but the issue like I have with a lot of games and I said it's a reason why MK8DLC isn't the best DLC ever, is STORY and these games do have some sort of story but nothing that really drives it forward as even from Dark Souls I get stuff of the lore whilst playing from the little I have.
I will jump into the MonHan world again but not in till we get a story and thankfully that's coming but when is the question. |

| I totally forgot to mention how I had played freedom unite also but my hour count on that is like 40 - 50 due to the insane difficulty (Bloody plesi hitboxes) & not having many folk to multiplayer with. - mas wrote:

Feel like a broken record here BUT out of the numbered series 4U is by far the best at telling a story, lots of characters to meet and genuinely funny dialogue. I think the issue you might have mas is that there'll always be a spell of you doing quests where you won't be getting much story in a traditional sense. Though with that said there is still a definitive beginning, middle & end (2 endings in fact) to that games single player, I think most that play MH know it isn't for everyone & with you liking a big emphasis on story will like it less because of that & that is perfectly fine. - mas wrote:

In many ways it is but if the core gameplay ain't broken why change it? In other ways there are many changes and improvements that won't be immediately apparent, the styles/arts are the obvious ones that make it fresh & allow you to customise how you play even more. I think they have done a great job trying to balance it to entice new players & keep existing fans happy at the same time. |

| We finally recorded episode 14!
This is the last one for a while, at least until the DLC. We discuss the game having read up on the lore and the reception across the internet.
We have a new podcast in the works though... |

| The lads are too good to just disband! Also, with no offence to Guesstus, I'd be much more likely to get my ears on the new'un. |

| Yep, dead chuffed we'll be moving onto another project straight away - casting with the lads has been a highlight, and I don't really want to wait until DSIII's DLC to cast once again. |

| I'm quite excited about Monster Mash. It's a real hole in the market, as it were, to discuss Monster Hunter from that angle and the clearer objective/ lack of speculation will make it even smoother and classier.
Also: It's on iTunes already! |
