Once I've beaten all the staff ghosts, Moo Moo is definitely the time trial I'll end up getting super into.

Looks like it's been ramped up a good few notches, just re-watched the new trailer via my Switch & noticed that some character (It was Sheldon) was air dropping in specific weapons.  

I'm definitely up for that single-player. Ask me again after I've spent five days trying to get past level 3 because I can't aim... Still not sure about their sense of humour though.

Anyway it's looking good. Seen a couple of people criticising it for looking a bit like an expansion pack, but I thought that was most shooters?  Unless they radically change the setting and that.  Maybe Spla3n (no - Ed.) will be set in World War 1.

We will see Balla but as someone who used to play nothing but shooters, very few shooters feel like expansions.

They all feel like expansions. It's harder to notice when everything on the market looks like a real-world war-torn city, whereas Splatoon has such a distinct world design.

I guess it's why Super Mario Galaxy 2 feels like an expansion pack, because every other Mario game is so distinct it's odd to have a sequel with the same style and HUD and everything.

That's the thing with most things which isn't a bad thing but not something you actually see often with Nintendo though.

Yeah, that's what I was getting at. What qualifies as a sequel in most game franchises feels weirdly like an expansion from Nintendo. It's why New Super Mario Bros. feels so odd, as did Mario Karts 7 and 8 at first.

It'll all be fresh to me, so I'm not fussed on how different Splatoon 2 is compared to its predecessor. The single player looks sufficiently bonkers - I was expecting arena or corridor shooting, but there's almost platforming elements to it based on the trailer!

Aye! The original's single-player felt a bit like Galaxy in places.

That's the thing if Nintendo had made this Splatoon Deluxe ye'd have the same people saying: "why isn't this a sequel?" ye cannae win.

I noticed today Amazon has the new amiibo up but more importantly the Pro Controller which I've gone and preordered.

Joy-Cons aren't up but I think they're coming out in August for some reason.

I was at MCM London yesterday and got to play a little bit of this, my last chance before its official release. Other than the fact that I completely destroyed them with 17 kills and 0 deaths, it was pretty obvious that Nintendo was gathering the most attention out of the big three's stalls (although I don't think XBox had one) Literally hundreds of people gathered around to play splatoon 2 or arms or take part in the bomberman tournament (some people are offensively good at that game).
In terms of what I played, it was a single game of Splatoon on The Reef, using what felt like just the testfire event set up, with no discernible differences in graphical quality or gameplay. It was one game per person, owing to the large demand.
So I can't really tell you guys anything yo don't already know from the testfire, other than Splatoon 2 looks set to do really, really well. There were also at least 4 different people buying switches from the Game store in the convention centre, so that's encouraging.

I played yesterday using the pro controller (just regular Switch ones) and it feels much nicer than using the joy con grip, so I'll probably give it a pre-oreder too.

I can haz both of these?

Of course you're more into the cats than my beloved inklings.

I want a Nintendo game where you play as a cat now.
