Spla2n: 2018 is The Year of the Octoling

Saw a post about this on the Spla2n facebook group today. Some fun sounding maps, weapons, gear and stuff but most exciting is the ability to change gear between games. Finally!

ALSO: I don't think I posted this on the forum, but I did do a little bit of a Splatoon video. Top 7 Tips to be OK at Turf War. Nothing special but I want to have a go at doing a bit of video stuff. Got a couple other ones I want to try and make.

I do hope that by them saying swapping gear in lobbies includes weapons too, it'd be nice to be able to pick a weapon to try and counter what the enemy team like to use - so if they like splat chargers a lot I'd bring a Splat brella for example.

I'm assuming it does, weapons are on the same menu as other gear and it would be mad to include other gear but not guns. That said, I would totally use it just to make sure my outfit wasn't clashing with anyone.

Even though I'll most likely never be playing this again, I can't help but applaud the amount of work that Nintendo are doing on this game, for free. So important in this, the Year of the Lootbox.

This (unofficial I think) twitter account has been throwing shade to that effect.

Sat down with this again for a bit, still a hecking fun game (sorry for the profane language). I bought the N-zap 89 from sheldon which was my weapon of choice in Splat One and had some cracking turf war games with it. I have a new respawn punishertop that lengthens my respawn time as well as that of whoever I splat which is a neat little addition to my ever expanding wardrobe.

I would very much like to play some Spla2n with my GNamer forum associates. The reasons for this are twofold: I want to get at least one big, multi-person session in before I leave and I also need some footage of squid partying for oneof my dumb videos.
So anyone who still has Splatoon, throw your name in here and we'll try to find an evening we can play.

Saturday is probably gonna be the only day I can game this week, so if anyone wants to Splat we'll sort something out. If not, I guess we'll hunt monsters.

Actually, never mind Saturday has gone from my day off to an 11-hour shift!
When I have next week's rota I'll try to actually organise.

I can do any time on Friday next week, though from 8:30 or 9ish I'm planning a session with the boys to see if we can wring some enjoyment from that shit Monster Hunting game.

Other than that, working loads next week! Its almost as though my manager listened when I said I wanted lots of hours before I flew, and didn't subconsciously know I wanted to have days off to play computer games instead. Weird.

Friday would be good for me as that's my day off, I'll also be taking part in next weekend's Splatfest. #TeamComedyFTW

I can do anything after 2.30 in the afternoon on Friday.

You'll have to count me out if it's going to be on Friday as I won't be around till the evening, and I'll be forcing myself to hunt some monsters then anyway!

I was at the Kanto Regional Finals of the Splatoon Koshien the other day, was pretty cool seeing Splatoon played on a big stage while a crowd of hundreds got super into it. I will try to write up something a little more substantial for Gintendo.

Big updates headed Splatwards! New multiplayer maps/ gear/ rank are exciting, if not for you guys then for me and all the Splatoon facebook groups and stuff I lurk in.

Looked good, £20 is a decent whack though and get you a Celeste. I'm curious about the upstate with one of the squid sisters now also in the single player or something.

Lol, your boy already bought it.

Considering I've not even polished off the single player content from the base game, I can't exactly say I'm racing to buy this anytime soon.

Still, it looked like a substantial chunk of content for those looking for more Splatoon and I think you'd get your money's worth by picking it up.
