Nintendo Switch eShop Thread

I think Monster Boy might be my first use of the wishlist function. While it looks great and reviewed great, £35 is a fair old whack for another 'indie' (inverted commas because of the team behind it) Metroidvania.

It's a retail game stateside though

Normally I just buy the games I want when I want them, which results in a stoopidly inflated backlog. Might add JS&B to the list too...

On the flipside, I have short evenings, live two hours away from everyone I care about, and still live in the UK. Not sure if winning or losing at life.

Neat! Buying a game for mega-cheap is almost a cleverer deal than getting it for free. I thought by 79p for Space Station Silicon Valley wouldn't be beat...

Aye, a while back I got that game 'One strike' for like 85p even though it's clearly a game for local co-op only.

That time Cash Convertors gave me Bust-A-Move 3 on the Game Boy was my best one, or the time I swapped a bag of crisps for Ridge Racer on the PSone.

What kind of crisps?

Yeah, it's a rather useful thing and the only real plus about the eShop.

Would be good to hear some impression on the game also. Did you play subsurface circular?

Yeah Subsurface Circular was brilliant, it was part of my Switch votes and might be in my Top 10 for the year.

Talking Top 10 for the year, Donut County is coming to Switch.

I've talked all my family into just giving me eShop for Christmas, as the only option that makes sense in my current situation. I've started putting together a list so I can splash on the holidays. I've added the following games to my watch list:

You included almost every game that was already on my list. Donut County, Firewatch and Night in the Woods are games I want to add though. Are they all out already?

I'd probably recommend giving Reigns the chop. It's very steep on Switch and it's nothing mind blowing.

Guac 2 is a must though.

I wrote out about 4 or 5 with likes on Transistor on but I knew there were more than, so whilst listening to your podcast I went through the whole eShop and what I've listed are basically all the good Switch games with in reason as I've not played Undertale for instance.

Donut County is out Friday (I think) and Firewatch on the 17th, Night in the Woods been out since January (I think).

The Banner Saga has a physical release (as does Katamari in the US)

That's a nice and varied list there and even though these are only on my watch list I hear Mark of the Ninja: Remastered & Into the breach are meant to be really really good.

Oh yeah, Into the Breach is a banger, I forgot that was on Switch.
