My Thoughts: The month doesn't get going till the 23rd with the Uncharted spin-off which has gone from a couple hour DLC to 10hr £30 game which is fine with me as more Uncharted is never a bad thing.
The 25th has the most releases of a single day and I do like the look of the story mode in Madden which is being touted as Telltale like and you never actually play football but not paying £40+ for it but this is the first Madden I may pick up on PS4 at some-point due to that mode. Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash I'll end up reviewing as that's what I do. White Day is a weird one a remaster of a cult classic Korean survival horror game does sound right up my street.
Rounding out the month we have Mario + Rabbids which look like it be great, Pillars of Eternity is a game I've heard great things about but not sure it be a game I'd really play. Yakuza Kiwami, I've got on order but still yet to play Zero then I think is the big PS4 exclusive of the month Everybody's Golf.
I'm getting for certain Uncharted, Mario + Rabbids and Everybody's Golf with Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash as maybe as I'll end up getting a code, White Day as I like that sort of Survival Horror and Yakuza as I'll forget I've got a preorder and won't cancel it before it comes out.

My thoughts: I plan to download Hellblade as Ninja Theory make good games, Sonic Mania on Switch, Last Day of June and Life is Strange. With The Long Dark, Matterfall, Absolver and Undertale, Batman (I think I'll wait for all the season to be out) being maybes and if I had a Xbox and could wait for them to come to PS4 or Switch then Tacoma and Hello Neighbour would have peaked my interest.
Valerian when comes to our homes, Atomic Blonde maybe in the Cinema as I'm hearing it's like John Wick but better, The Dark Tower is a maybe as I don't know much about it but it has my mate Mr Elba in it, if I could get to a cinema on the 20th anniversary of Judgement Day (The date in the film) then I would but I think I'll wait for the 4K version instead of 3D.
On that TV it is all of the Game of Thrones which ends in August, Defenders and Death Note on Netflix, all the Wrestling including the start of the Mae Young Classic on the Network.
Also importing a physical version of Monster Hunter XX on Switch. What about you guys?

After your usual lengthy and detailed post, mas, it feels like a shame that all I'm interested in is Sonic Mania. I am super interested in it, to be fair.

Mario and his Rabbids are odds on to be picked up. That'll do me though, no time for anything else.
I'll be trading in my (definitely a bit faulty now, but still perfectly serviceable) PS4, alongside an old 3ds and several games to finance a PS4 Slim, and Splatwoots come August, and I'm going to be far too hooked on the latter to bother with much else.

Sonic Mania for sure for me, probably on Switch rather than PS4. Unchrted Lost Legacy and Mario and Rabbids are on the list but not definite day 1 purchases I'd say.

Mario + Rabbids I'll definitely pick up and no doubt enjoy, but I'm not absolutely jonesing for it or anything. Similarly, I'm still not sure I'll bother with Sonic Mania. The Defenders and Death Note will help to justify my continued Netflix subscription, and will probably launch just as Game of Thrones is winding down, which I like.
Of course, there are two things I'm very excited about. Monster Hunter Double Cross will move my monster hunting action to the Switch at long last, and give me the kick up the arse I need to return to taking my Japanese study seriously. Then on August 29th, twenty years after Judgement day was supposed to have come, I can finally see my favourite film of all time on a cinema screen. I've got goosebumps at the thought . . .

Not many games that interest me there tbh, the two that do are Shadow tactics & Mario + Rabbids but since both are in the same genre I really don't need to be buying two strategy games that close together especially when I have XCOM 2 still left unplayed on my shelf.
Also no surprise that my day one buy will be MHXX on switch.

Will definitely be checking out Mario and his Rabbid mates, and I'll need to get around making a Japanese eShop account for no real reason next month...

There's actually quite a lot coming out in August! What's going on this year.
Both Hellblade and Uncharted LL are marked down in my diary as "other people might like this". And I'm almost tempted to get Cities Skylines on PS4, as it'll be able to run it better than my PC; however, controlling the game without a mouse would be a nightmare. Plus I'd have to start Gintendon again... all of that puts Mario and the Rabbids in 4th place. Wowsers.

I think post Aug 23rd Uncharted Lost legacy is the hey it's fall / Q4, I know it isn't but I would think more trade done in September and more important then December for getting your game out.
For the year, I said last year that 2017 was looking great for games and I think it is because we're 4 years into a gen meaning multiplatform games are decent, Sony's first party have turned up along with second party deals and Nintendo had to bring it after the Wii U which they have.
