A lot of games this month and I can see the likes of Far Cry 5 being the big game of the month but personally, I find the Ubisoft games even with different settings to similar and I've still got AC Origins to play.
What I'll actually be picking up is Kirby which will be a fun platformer, Ni No Kuni II which could be the best JRPG of the year and that's about it part from Sea of Thieves when I played the Alpha, to be honest I didn't like it but now I can play it for £8 with Game Pass (Actually can get a 3 month pass for £12), I think it's worth a punt and if I don't like it then theirs over 100 games on Game Pass I can play instead.
The Switch does have some things such as Attack on Titan and the new Atelier game (I'm still yet to play a game in the series) that do appeal to me but not sure I'd want to pay £40-50 for them and the Switch has a few others like that at the moment such as Nights of Azure 2, Lost Sphear.

Looks like I'll be taking a few trips to the Cinema with Tomb Raider, Pacific Rim and Ready Player One where at home Napping Princess and Justice League may get a look in.
I've got the Detective Pikachu amiibo preordered and I do like the look of some of the TOTAKU series.
Games wise Detention, Subsurface Circular both look like interesting downloads and then the imports this month has some decent things like Yakuza 6 though I can wait for an EU release (same with a few others like Hyrule Warriors) but things like Fist of the North Star from the Yakuza team looks really decent and so does Blade Strangers a fighting game with characters from Code Princess & Cave Story etc which will hopefully be on the EU eShop but like the other Nicalis games might be overpriced due to the retail release state-side.

While I still have a substantial backlog to work through, and some games among that just released last month, I'm started to get a little itchy. This is the third month in a row that I haven't been interested in anything on there. This time last year we had the Greatest Game Ever; this month coming we have Detective Pikachu and Kirby 'n' Pals.
Ho hum. Aces in April.

Yes! My title again. March the force be with you.
Games-wise, we're looking at the Big Two: Kirby Star Allies and Detective Pikachu. The former I fully expect to be non-taxing fun that feels like a late Wii U game ( ) and the latter, well... I'm not sure what to think. Hopefully it'll be like Ho-Oh Wright.
From the other side of things, Paddington 2 is a must-have (Jo and I went to the cinema with the intention of seeing it but it was fully booked; we ended up seeing Justice League (she likes Barry; truly a woman after my own heart (which she actually already has )) instead and I saw P2 on my own. I want Jo to see it too; a worthy follow-up to the stunning original. After that, Tomb Raider is a mild possibility and I'd like to get Justice League but will have to see how the finances are rolling.

I am dead keen for AoT2. The previous game was a treat when I played on XBox, and being able to zip about slicing napes on Switch will be amazing.

Much like I said last month I think we where spoiled last year and expectations have been raised as you look at this month we're getting 9 games at retail for the Switch which includes a Nintendo exclusive, when did we get that for Wii U? I did think you may have had an interested in AoT2 or Atelier but at some point much like me and not £40-50 or day one.
As you say you do have a backlog of what I gather is some quality indies and I do try to find the ones I can each month for best of the rest but is hard as they can come out of nowhere and I do think indies will be a big deal for Switch much like early PS4 but not as much as VITA or Wii U where they have been a huge deal due to the lack of AAA.
I'd also not get your hopes up for April unless you like Labo.

You're probably right, especially with my backlog. AoT I have no feelings about, and from what I recall the Atelier series has stilted and awful dialogue and fanservice up the wazoo, even relative to the rest of the genre... Subject Matter Expert Athrun, can you please confirm?
Also I thought Mario Tennis Aces was April? And I might well get some Labo, I can't deny I'm intrigued...

Nah it's just Spring for Mario Tennis and as Labo isn't for everyone, I would personally put something like Mario Tennis out alongside it.

I don't often post about games being announced as like I said indies can come out of nowhere but EA gave just announced Burnout Paradise is being remastered for Xbox One and PS4 which be out March 16th.
Was a huge fan back in the day on 360 and used to play with a group of yanks, also dabbled on it via Backwards Compatibility on the Xbox One recently and still seemed decent but is the sort of game I would like to see on Switch as I talked about wanting a racer on the system to fill the cap Most Wanted U had on Wii U.

Burnout Paradise is a belter of a game, but it's not one I'm keen on picking up right now. I played it reasonably recently on PC as well as at launch on 360, so I'm not chomping at the bit for another go anytime soon.

Looking at April which will be going up next Sunday, name ideas would great for the month featuring Nintendo selling us cardboard, Andys GOTY 2018 and the first big Sony first party game of the year starring Christoper Judge.

One I've used before but: I bought my kid the Nintendo Labo and all he wants to do is play with the box.
