I just found out about this game from someone on twitter and it looks bloody excellent.
Feast your eyes on some trailers. :cyclops: :cyclops: :cyclops: :cyclops: :cyclops: :cyclops: :cyclops:

NO STOP MY BACKLOG/WALLET CAN'T TAKE ANY MORE... what? Rogue-lite? Oh thank goodness, I can ignore this one. Phew!
For real though, it's a shame. Lovely art style, enough so to get me briefly interested, but procedural generation of any form can stuff itself.

I've heard the dungeon bits are great - but the shop bit drags after a while. I'll add it to the "maybe" list though...

That reminds me a lot of Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale albeit with what seems to be a much more engaging combat style and a far more appealing art style. Colour me interested. However, I'll be sorely disappointed if the lead character doesn't shout "CAPITALISM, HO!" like the lead character in Recettear.

Is this actually a rogue-lite? The wiki says it's a Action-RPG and the Eurogamer review I read makes no mention of it, so that just leaves you with the procedural generation stuff which is fair enough if that's not your cup of tea. There's definitely games that do that stuff very badly but there's also others that do it very well and from what I've read and seen this seems like one of the good ones.
Oh also this is meant to be out by the end of September.

To be fair you can apply that term to almost anything with procedural generation these days... But yes that really gets on my wick. Even when it's done well, it annoys me disproportionately. I want to know that some effort has gone into making this exact level that I'm traversing, that this torch in this dungeon has been put there for a reason that somebody somewhere intended. If I can't, I'll be too annoyed to appreciate how the algorithm has put disparate rooms together.

I'm definitely interested based on the trailer, that animation and music is brilliant and Zelda-like gameplay is always a winner.

I'll definitely be getting it but when I'll get around to playing it is another question. (Too many games)

Just their live show in London which was probably the one you were at, it aired the other week on Sky Atlantic.

Ah yes, that'll be it. It was good! I particularly liked their office romance song, mostly for the amusement of Brett moonlighting as a blokeybloke when that's usually Germaine's role.
