I see on the 'Top X Games - Have You Ever?' thread that folk are ranking stuff like Nier Automata, Breath of the Wild and Wind Waker as the best game of all time. They're wrong, it's Crazy Taxi, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Anyway, a Crazy Taxi rip-off spiritual successor called Taxi Chaos is coming out on Switch, PS4, and XBox One on February 23rd 2021:



Apparently it's got SEGA's blessings too. We just need a Bad Religion soundtrack and then I think we're pretty much set for a revival of gaming's greatest period ever: 1999-2001.

I remember losing my shit back in 2000 when we stopped off at a PC World one time and they had Crazy Taxi hooked up to pretty much all of their monitors.

Best. Shopping. Trip. Ever.

But you're right to bring up the soundtrack. First time I heard for real was when I got it for Christmas. It's up there with the likes of Tony Hawks in my book.

Be nice to have something recapture that magic.
