| Burble. Cheers for the honest judgement Smurf. I don't want to say I'm going to drop this, but you've tipped the balance a bit, especially re. IDLE's replacements. |

| Also IDLE leaving is only temporary but then they return for the rest of the game. - Their most memorable moment...:
is when they have to manually operate a rocket whilst on it so the game does a whole fake out moment where it makes you believe they've just sent a bunch of kids to their death via explosion.

| Ah, I've reached that bit. I don't think it's surprising that I never suspected they'd be in any danger at all, nor did I care about the outcome. I think given all my Christmas games that I'm shelving this. It's a shame for something I was so excited for initially, but if ever a game were damned by both criticism and faint praise, this feels like it. |

| I'd say that if you liked Dream Team Bros. you'll probably like this, in that it's similarly paced. But if you thought DTB was a bit slow or long-winded, this is more so. I didn't finish it. |

| I reckon this is slower than DTB, also kind of less imaginative. I feel almost no urge to play Brothership, but it does kill the odd hour here and there, so I guess it depends how much you care about killing time vs having a good time. |

| Yeah don't bother, it has its moments but a slow start and even slower finish have really soured me on this. |

| Oh wow, if even Smurf has turned against it you know it's bad. The man's a parent, I assume he has patience up the wazoo. - Crumpy Andy wrote:

I probably agree with this TBH. I also reckon there are lots of better ways to kill an hour. |

| It is disappointing to hear but thankfully there's plenty of other stuff to play at the moment. I do wonder if Nintendo will do another one of these or a more RPG focused paper mario next |

Could you imagine the balls on them if they tried it? For the record I actually really liked colour splash.... Dunno if that's controversial in these parts anymore |

I think Mario & Luigi is done after this, the developers apparently pitched all sorts of ideas that would have made for a more interesting game which Nintendo shot down, it's almost like it was a contractual obligation they wanted to fulfil then wash their hands of it. Do think we'll see more Paper Mario though, now we have the Switch we only really need one Mario RPG series. |

| It is such a shame because it is a series that I'm fond of but it's felt a little reigned in for a while hasn't it?. I think I might replay Superstar Saga on NSO instead then. I haven't played the GBA version in a loooooong time |

That's dire stuff if so, why wouldn't you let the devs take a swing on what is pretty much a dead franchise anyway? Last roll of the dice and that. It's a shame, I've got such fond memories of the series (especially Superstar Saga, still an all-timer IMO) and I'm not convinced Nintendo will ever let Paper Mario be a proper RPG ever again. |
