3 days until I get my hands on my copy, there's something great about getting a Zelda game for Christmas. So, is everyone enjoying it? I would have searched back through this thread but don't want to read spoilers.

Nah it's great, I'm currently on the hunt for the last sage on that location where it is that I am lost, I swear I've seen that bolder before

OH MY GOODNESS THIS GAME IS AMAZING. I mean, I've only just hit Kakariko, but in that time I've been wowed by the smoothness of the animation, had a chuckle at the wall decoration in Link's house, been surprised by the amount of character on show in comparison to LttP (including some really quite humorous dialogue), met Ghirahim 2.0, played "avoid the bullet-hell chickens", relished the remixes of old tunes, and been delighted by the inclusion of a proper overworld town. Enjoying this lots! Possibly (whisper it) more than SM3DW.

No need to whisper Mario is great but this is above and beyond in my book.

So much so I'm going to download it on my other 3DS for when I'll want to play it again. (Yeah I know 2 save slots but my housemate wants the second one)

I'm into the properly open-ended part of the game now, and feel that I'm missing a lot of items. Sand Rod, Pegasus Boots, Power Gloves...

I didn't pick up the Pegasus Boots until just before the end of the game, I think that speaks volumes about how open-ended it is!

Not really. The Pegasus Boots aren't central to progression (which is why you cannot rent them), and it's possible to pick them up *very* early on in the game. It's just that it's easy to get fooled by the game using your knowledge of ALTTP game against you. That's all I can say without spoiling how to get them in the slightest.

Yep totally agree with spork here, it's not tough to get enough rupees to rent/buy items either.
