Mario Kart 8

And that's why Double Dash is still the best in the series.

One of the rumoured new tracks has the name "Metro" attached to it, I would die happy if it is related to Metroid but I feel I may be setting myself up for a massive disappointment.

I'm treating all this like a Nintendo Direct leak - no point investing too much energy in it.

Although a Metroid track would be quite, quite lovely...

Metroid would be nice, though I reckon they could easily spin another couple of sets of dlc still and have a metroid style pack.

I was talking to Mandle about this on Facebook yesterday. Does anyone else reckon there's a possibility of further DLC packs?

An E3 announcement of DLC Pack 3 would be an utter delight - but I can't see it happening.

Got to be one of the easiest ways to make money for Nintendo. Given their new and uncomfortable philosophy, I wouldn't be surprised to see one.

Which leads me to my biggest DLC beef: at which point does Mario Kart 8 cut off and Mario Kart 9 begin?

I want a Chibi-Robo track that takes two and a half hours to get round.

I'll happily hold on with Mario Kart 8. If they sorted out the battle mode, it would be near enough perfect.

When there's been £40 worth of DLC? To be fair they're giving us what seems like a pretty big new series feature for free in the form of 200cc.

Surely Mario Kart 9 begins on the NX

Well when the game launched, they said they would support the game for a year which would be ending now with 200cc & DLC Pack 2.

Well it seems Nintendo doesn't know what's happening as first we get rumours of tracks which thy are totally false not the normal we don't comment on speculation but now Nintendo of Japan have confirmed these tracks


Baby park (GCN)
Ribbon Road (GBA)
Neo Bowser City (3DS)
Cheese Land (GBA)
Nature Road
Big Blue
Lingling Metro
Animal Crossing

EDIT: Oh, trains. Apparently. Um.

Pretty sure Nature Road is called Wild Woods here. Lingling Metro is named Subway Station (think there's another word, I just forgot)
