| Who wants another dose of cuteness to fend off the depressing nature of the times!?
Saw this pop up an hour ago and it just melted my heart, definitely going to see if I can catch a glimpse of them when I go to Adelaide in a few weeks! |

| That wasn't just cute - that was supercute. Much better than 96% of any news bulletin right now. |

| Yay! That's the sort of news I can get behind.
Edit: I don't like bringing up the racist baked-beans with grated cheese on top that is Tronald Dump. But of course he has had a big problem saying nazis are bad. However, John Oliver brings an unexpected equivalent... |

| My brother recently made me aware of this latest despicable act by POTUS. As part of what seems like an ongoing effort to undo all of Obama's good work in ecological and environmental issues, Trump has made it legal to kill hibernating bears and wolves in their homes.
I'm currently looking into what can be done from this side of the pond to help the issue - campaign for our government to speak out? Not likely with brexit making them so desperate to jump in bed with the US they won't even speak out against human rights abuses, let alone animal ones - but for the time being I'm just going to encourage everyone I can to donate to the Bear Trust and I'm thinking I want to do some sort of sponsored thingy.
The fact that Jay, Andy and Jas have made it their new game to tweet me the screenshots whenever they kill an Arzuros on Monster Hunter hasn't helped my mood. Maybe I could do a sponsored stream of Monster Hunter? 24 hours of no-kill gameplay, all capture all the time, for Bear charities? Sponsored tattoo of Arzuros and Ursaring on my bumcheeks? Sponsored marathon of sucking off large hairy gay men? Watch this space . . .

| Ah, you know we don't mean it maliciously mate - should have just let us know and we'd have knocked it off.
Onto the issue at hand, yet another policy to no doubt appease the gun-toting Trump fanatics. Sad and pathetic. I deplore hunting as it is - except for perhaps practical reasons such as farmers keeping animals away from their livestock - but to do so whilst an animal is sleeping and vulnerable is just horrid. |

| Agreed, absolutely. Hunting is shit. If the animal ain't trying to hurt you (or wouldn't be if you weren't storming into its house waving your tiny pathetic weapon around, euphemism completely intended), or your livelihood, then you shouldn't be having fun trying to kill it. That's the sign of a psychopath, or someone brought up wrong. |

| The man's a maniac. Nothing he does surprises me anymore but I guess that's the point: numbness to the reckless, feckless boor. Once you've decided what you're going to do, boss, hit us up with a donation page. |

| I'm not 100% sure on the bringing up someone part, Balla. As someone who has been hunting with my mother (who've I not seen for 20 years), I don't want to or go out hunting animals.
Sure I know how (well used to) to ride a horse, shoot a gun, pluck a pheasant because of it doesn't mean I will. Same sort of can be applied to video games and how playing GTA is meant to make me violent.

| Aww, I love stories like this, where some good comes out of evil. It's like the one story where a neo-Nazi march ended up fund-raising for LGBTIA+ charities based on how far they went. Or something like that, I've probably got the details wrong. |

| Fuksake - if you think that a kid's religious/moral ground is going to be shaken by (a) a boy wearing a dress (which was common for infants 150-100 years ago) or (b) seeing two men labelled as a "family" (more on that in the next couple of weeks) then it strongly indicates your own fractured sense of faith.
There was that story a few years ago where some bible-belt nutcase from the centre of the US had one of those Imagine Babiez type games, and they'd determined that the baby babbling noises were secretly saying "Islam is the Light". |

| In the background, I can hear "The News" talking about end-of-year honours. This comes with no personal disrespect, but I think we should acknowledge the invalidity of the Queen's badges for things like "services to dancing". |

| Also: all the focus on the royal engagement. Rich person marries other rich person, and we don't even get a day off for it. Hooray? |

| I'm not expecting massive sociopolitical change but I do like that Prince Harry is marrying a mixed-race American woman. It's a happier message for me to take from 2017 than Trump's antics and Brexit continuing apace. |
