Yes I know there is an e shop discussion thread but I feel this deserves a thread all of its own, its probably my most anticipated e shop title on wii U.

Anyone else like the look of this?

I can see it being tricky to get the hang of.  It depends whether the benefits outweigh the control confusion (see also: KIU, 101).  I'll wait for some reviews before I pick it up, but a demo. would be ideal.

Looks pretty smart. I hadn't bothered with it before this thread, so thanks for showing us that video. I'll see where Scram Kitty goes from here, but consider me interested.

I read that interview in the magazine and although it shared some neat ideas I didn't quite grasp what the game was about. Thanks to that video, I have, and it looks pretty interesting. If it's got a good price point I'll have a look; there aren't enough shooters in my life (as StreetPass Squad has reminded me!).

I've had my eyes on this for a while. Didn't find that video particularly stimulating, but I'm still happy to see what the reviews have to say when the time comes.

What everyone else said. I know that ONM are dead keen on it, but couldn't get, from their screenshots, how it worked. So yeah, I'm glad I watched the trailer - cheers. Having said that, shooters aren't my thing. Having said that, the team have got good previous form.

Oh, and ONM gave it 90% (so, 80% in normal terms  ). They say it's bloody hard.

It was & I'm not sure what caused the delay, nice to hear that about the difficulty as I'm up for a challenge.

I really hope that this isn't one of those downloadable games that's left to die a quick death because of an extortionate cost. I hate to be one of those fannies on the internet who thinks they know it all when it comes to pricing ("£130 is WAY too expensive for a Wii U" etc), but I hope it's competitively priced.

I think the price will be around the £9 -£13 price range, which is all good for me.

Generally, in terms of only reading their reviews, I tend to agree with onm.

I don't think that ONM are biased any more (if they ever were): I just think that they're quite optimistic across the board. Hardly anything seems to get below 50% with them.

As a fan of Ikaruga, I do occasionally like a game that makes you want to chin a brick wall. Hopefully the control scheme won't bog this one down, as such a thing has been known to do in a high-profile Nintendo handheld release. 

I presume that you must be referring to Metroid Prime Hunters, as opposed to the excellent and perfectly controllable KIU. (folds arms)

Yep, its the old questionable logic of "Mario Kart is coming out, so here are tons of games in the same month!"

It's a good thing to have a varied selection to choose from though.

If you're a relatively small company, you want to get your product to market as soon as possible, no matter when that is.

ONM gave it 90%; Nintendo Life, 7/10. I'm more tempted to trust the one that doesn't cover up stories that paint Nintendo in a bad light myself...

I trust the person who done the GIAG review.
