Inafune announces Mighty No.9 Kickstarter (Megaman in all but name) [$4M FUNDED]

Had a look at some screenshots from the finished game, I'm not totally convinced. It doesn't scream "polished" in a way that Shovel Knight did when I saw the finished product, but I suppose we'll see.

THIS SO MUCH. I know prominent industry figures and publishers get backlash for using crowdfunding, but I'd take up a Sega crowdfunding project if it meant the game was financially viable to make from their point of view.

This, coupled with the silliness of making another TWO Kickstarters before their first title has been released, makes me think that Mighty No. 9 might be a bit of a disappointment.

The whole thing seems gently insane to me. The only interview of Inafune's that I've ever read made me think he was a bit of a kook, though, so it all fits together.

I don't know if this has been brought up elsewhere, but... this had a trailer featuring a line that was not popular.

I had to leave my "prom" early because I had an exam the next day. Still bitter.

Then I got concussion from headbanging and headbutting my friend, and hurt my ear because I stood right by a speaker and it popped. (I still can't her properly hear through my left ear)

Still buying it. If it deserves a kicking, my poison pen will not spare the bile and loathing.

It was a weird exam, Cambridge maths entry, only two people across my school and the girl's school taking it. Still bitter though.

Mighty No. 9 outed as sort of OK but definitely not great. A massive ripple of shock goes through the gaming community.

I saw whilst scrolling through Twitter a comparison video from the game now and what it looked like when it first went up on Kickstarter, it looks so bland and boring now.
