| Exactly what the title says- what are some amusing mistakes that you've seen? Could be on a sign, something someone said, etc. I'm obligated to tell my own, but I can't really think of any. Maybe I'll remember some as you guys post. ...There's a DS2 poll below, because I'm too lazy/don't have the time to make a separate post. I know, rules, but, honestly, I don't think it's an issue with forums this (relatively) small. Sorry mods. I really, truly do respect you. Especially Balladeer. |

| I appreciate your respect, but we've got a perfectly good Dark Souls 2 thread in General Gaming. I've taken down your poll and edited the thread title: feel free to ask the question in there.
Also, last time you posted a thread, you... y'know... didn't actually contribute to the discussion at all. So maybe a mistake or two of your own to start us off would help. |

| I've found a lot of misspellings in the subtitles of games recently, which is surprising considering I think more people use subtitles than don't. |

| It's not misspellings that get me it's when the subtitles don't say the same thing as the actors. Drives me mad! |

Telltale's games do this a lot. Especially the Back to the Future one. |

Telltale's games do this a lot. Especially the Back to the Future one. The Walking Dead and BttF were the two games I was thinking about - which is really bad on their part because a point and click adventure is a genre where subtitles would usually be used. |

Isn't this down to possible last minute re-writes or maybe the voice actors themselves improvising certain scenes? |

| Nah, it's the straight up misspelling of words - I can excuse omissions or slight changes, but straight up butchering the spelling of a word isn't on. |

| Yeah bitch I already made a dark souls thread. That's a mistake I don't find amusing.

| Well I suck at this I didn't realize the thread titled "Soulllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllsssssssss" was a Dark Souls 2 thread. Still, I've looked through the thread and there's only a few people who have actually expanded on the game's difficulty in it. There was no poll that I saw, and when I made this post I simply wanted a statistical analysis of who on this forum has the game and what they think. I figured that since it was a small addition, it would have a negligible effect on the forum as a whole. As for my own contribution, I don't have any particularly good ones. I figured that it would simply be fun if the community here added some fun stories. It is "Off-topic" after all. You know the drill. If you insist, I had to grade another student's work today. His essay was a change and continuity paper on migration. In short, he was not in the right state of mind when he wrote it. It ended up saying non-sensical sentences that would seem to lead somewhere and then just stop. He was also very patriotic, apparently, for the US, as he wrote "When the United States founded freedom people moved there to find a new life of freedom." Reminds me of the patriotic eagle meme. ...Yeah that's it. I didn't contribute because I didn't have anything particularly fun to add. I figured some people would. |

| Hey, at least you tried this time. And for one, I actually find that example quite funny! Then again, I always find massively patriotic Americans funny. (And maybe Buska could put a "(Dark)" on the beginning of his thread title for clarification...?)
I'm trying to think of something, but most mistakes I can actually of just annoy me. Like that time in Ghost Trick when they called an American football a "rugby ball" for the PAL release. Nice try, chaps, but nope.
Actually, most anything that Drunkalilly's Kindle autocorrects. Tenderloin Minimise is the big one, but there's another one in the snack thread at the moment. |

| Just in case you were worried, I don't really have anything against you. I was just having a chuckle.
For amusing mistakes, I'm thoroughly enjoying some of the weird glitches in Mass Effect cut scenes, particularly when the camera just stares at the wall behind a character instead of their face. |
