Destiny

This looks like it could be one of the biggest games of the year from the excellent Bungie.

The BETA starts soon, which I can't wait to play as I've heard nothing but good from the ALPHA.

I hope a few us, most likely the PS4 owners pick this up for it's co-op and versus multi-player which could be fun to do like Mario Kart nights etc.

A few editions of the game have been announced including what looks very cool ghost edition but at £150 just before mad October is putting me off a bit.

Personally I wasn't sold on the alpha, that was most likely due to the lack of mission structure, the fact that you couldn't even tell what level the side missions were for when you accepted them/you could only accept one at a time made it feel like a bit of a drag, especially when you're a level 4 whose mission is in level 9 territory.

I've got the Ghost edition preordered for now, so I might try the beta when it hits and then see how well off I am when the game comes.

It was alpha, so you can't aspect to much but you are the fist negatives I've heard.

Actually looking Oct isn't as bad as I thought as I'm not picking up likes of AC: U, there's only Three definitely buying with some maybes with one being similar to one I'm buying. But September which I didn't think was to bad month has a few games I might look at plus my MOT is due.

The gameplay itself was all good and the mission it did have was fun, I just hope the sort out the side missions before it's released. It did also seem like a game that is a must for multiplayer and I was playing solo.

Yeah what I've read you can do it Solo but the real end game will need Co-op which makes sense that the game is built around co-op play and those public events etc.

The BETA will have the crucible in it.

I hope a few of us do pick it for the co-op or guy's on our friends list's.

I'm interested to see how drop in it'll really be. I can't see it working well unless everyone is at exactly the same point a la borderlands as opposed to Monster Hunters system.

Guess I'll be staying up a few nights then when this comes out as I'll be getting the $129 Limited edition on PS4

In seriousness, though, I haven't seen that much to really amaze me with this yet.

I don’t think he dislikes it seeing he has the ghost edition preordered for instance. And I've not played at all but everything bungie has been great apart from ONI.

Well it looks a lot like halo x borderlands x mass effect, I like most of them.

You can now select/see platform choices fro the BETA on Bungie.net and each BETA access comes with three codes, so can pass on to friends to have the full fire team.

I would gather everyone on here who's got a PS4 that's getting destiny, is all ready in the BETA. But if your not looks like we might have spare codes that you might want before letting people on twitter etc have them.

Yeah EU works for me as that was the only region I could pick (well there was the US as well) so I'm currently downloading the Beta now and have a feeling it's going to be a while until it's done

I played some of it last night, seems really good only thing is I'm getting into and playing stuff I will play again in the main game all over again.

BETA finished

I've done all 5 story missions, the strike mission and so much in the exploring mission that I was getting the same mission over & over.

Hit the level cap of 8 as my female awoken hunter. Done some crucible games & PVE's (I think that's what there called), so got nothing left to do apart from trying the other two classes but I just be going the same things again then would have do them all over when it's released.

The BETA definitely convinced me on my preorder for the ghost edition.

So no Ghost Edition for me due to the car, just the limited edition which will be here in a few days.
