| Since I'm about to finish Zahn's awesome Thrawn trilogy ( two weeks and I still haven't finished a mere 2 hundred pages, christ I'm a slow reader nowadays, 14 year old me would sneer if he saw me now) I figured I'd grab a couple more yarns even if they aren't canon any more. Still worth reading. |

| I haven't read any star wars since I was a kid, but I read a hell of a lot of Star Trek! What I love about star trek novels is the way each one is a little standalone story. All you need to know is the crew of the Enterprise and you're good to go. On the windowsill in my bedroom, where I line up the books I'm going to read, I always slip a nice fun trek in after something that's more of a risk, that might be boring or depressing or a but shit. |

| I've read two Star Trek books and one Star Wars books.
The Enterprise novel "The Good That Men Do" fixes problems with the worst episode of Star Trek (the finale) and is pretty interesting. The other Trek one is "A Stitch in Time", all about Garak, and is great.
The only Star Wars book I read was last week: the Revan book. It was pretty good. I'll probably try a few more of the Old Republic era books, in particular the Darth Bane ones. |

| My experience with star trek is rather limited, I watched a bunch of The Next Generation back when I was a young teen but that was about it. I've always been more of a star wars fan, the blend of the sci fi backdrop with the "magic" elements with the Force always captured my imagination better that the pure sci fi of trek I guess. That said I did enjoy everything star trek that I've been exposed to and won't rule out looking in to it someday. On the novel backlog note, might as well post my star wars backlog. - Spoiler:
Not pictured is The Last Command, the aforementioned final book of the Thrawn trilogy. |

| I think I read a bit of Rogue Squadron back in the day. Quite the opposite to yourself, I like pure scifi stuff so guys like Wedge were always my favourite. |

I know I just wanted to bring up Stargate as it's normally the forgotten Star. |

| The items that I'd referenced in a different thread that " if I don't buy now I might never get another chance" that sapped most of my current expendable money have finally arrived. As of now I'm only one volume short of completing the first Ultimate Spiderman series ( the pre-rebrand before Ultimatum series), just missing volume 13 ( which will be mine soon enough mwuhaha!), and the first volume of the Big Time release of Amazing Spiderman. I'd given up on thinking I'd ever get ultimate spiderman 15 new, but it turns out wishes do in fact sometimes come true, and with big time becoming harder to find I figured I had to stop procrastinating and get it already. |

| I'd been after GTI Club for ages. I'd loved the older versions in the arcades, but my initial impressions of this one are a bit iffy. Still, under eighteen quid. Puyo Pop Fever was 99p in Cash Convertors. |

Not at all. I usually hate that style of figures, but this one looks exactly like Toon Link. |
