I've got a similar tale, Cappa. Yesterday (natch) I took Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and The Last Story to GAME to trade for Pokken Tournament and an Isabelle amiibo. The chap told me to take TLS to CEX because they'd give me more for it... until the manager intervened and said they'd match the CEX price of £31. So I got my haul for £8.

CEX is great for that. I regret not knowing about GAME's trade-in price match until fairly recently, as I could have made a killing on some old Wii games that I punted back in the autumn. Still, I've done really well out of that deal since then - it basically paid for my PS4, and it'll basically pay for my NX whenever that comes out.

The manager said they'd flip-flopped on the policy, so he did whatever he wanted (!). I'd check what your local is currently offering, if I were you.

Then I'd go to GAME. Razz

I always check on my phone and keep everything in the checkout on there, then when I go into GAME and I just the phone and bobs your uncle but if it's some I know they don't even ask now for the phone.

I remember it being a pain on midnight launches for likes of Xbox 360 slim and Wii U.

I picked up Pokken, HORI controller for Pokken and Ryu & Roy amiibo.

Probably! It's got about a thousand different instrument sounds, most of which sound terrible. It's like an Aladdin's cave of poorly recorded soundbites.

Me and a buddy found various Lonely Planets regarding Eastern Europe really handy for restaurant recommendations, accommodation, activities and the like. I'd definitely recommend picking up the one for the area you're staying in if you haven't already (I'm guessing you probably have).

So far I've learned the Japanese for "First!" and "I love you" (which features the syllable 'mas' Wink ).

I spent two weeks in Tokyo back in 2006, so if you have any questions Zero, give me a shout. If you're going to Tokyo, you can get by on English. I remember going in to a restaurant and saying "Ju-go ban onegaishimasu" (Number 15 please) and the bloke saying "Ah beef curry!".

Got myself a new pair of trainers from a Nike outlet store. My old trainers were so worn that the left one was spiking my foot. No The new ones are super comfy, in the main, though I could do without the rubbing on my right heel...

Picked up 10 DS/3DS games this week:

  • Mario Kart DS
  • Tetris DS
  • Wario Ware Touched!
  • Nintendo Touch Golf: Birdie Challenge
  • Star Fox Command
  • The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
  • Star Fox 64 3D
  • Splinter Cell 3D
  • Pilotwings Resort
  • Dead or Alive: Dimensions

All for £45 which isn't bad. Although three of them were from Music Magpie and the packaging was covered in blood. Bit dodgy, but assuming the postie had a nasty cut.

I took deliver of a copy of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for Wii U that I ordered a while back on ShopTo - £8.65 seems to me like a bit of a deal.

I also picked up Mr. Driller: Drill Spirits on DS for a quid in Barnardo's, and Puzzle Bobble Universe on 3DS for £6 in CEX.

Even though you probably won't but if you got into MH as half as much as I have that's a bargain of a lifetime, I was just talking to Andy the other day about how much we have got out of the series overall.

Insane value when you break down how much games cost & the amount of hours we've put in.
