I get why the first one is called return, but having only two episodes of something where the second one isn't the one called return is really confusing.

Aha, great minds and whatnot - I'm assuming Episode 3 will be Revenge of the Podcast?

A great listen, chaps! It had me saying "A buzzsaw" on my way to Sainsbury's which, had anyone been paying attention, would have made me seem quite strange. I also recommend that Jay try to get a job reading books for audio.

Thanks gents - I'd chalk that up to me getting a decent mic for Christmas as opposed to anything else though!
I'm disappointed that the Tingle background wasn't racier - I was expecting something properly grotesque.

Great podcast, folks! Thanks to Balla, I'll never say "Console" the same way again.
Was properly sad when my little podcast marathon had ended.

Wow, I really need to sort out a proper microphone at some point. I sound like I'm coming in over satellite from being camped outside a pregnant celebrity's holiday home.

The only person I had problem hearing over the two podcasts was Zero. His voice kept cutting out for me, but nothing else has been a podcast-breaking issue, and certainly nothing ruined it.

I have never, ever listened to Podcast. So I thought I would give you blokes a chance - 1hour, 21 minutes? You are asking a lot of me.
Well, I downloaded both of them and when I have nothing to do, or I am doing pointless stuff, I will give it a listen. I did listen briefly and it is nice to hear your lovely English accents. If you ever want to ruin that, you do have 3 (I think) crude Australian voices to choose from.

There were suggestions in the second one of getting an Aussie on the podcast, to add a dash of variety to the accents. If you're interested...

If my technology is up to it, and I don't sound like an absolute twat doing it, I would give it a go.
In all honesty, I have managed to listen to the first 25 minutes of the first one and it must be pretty nerve-racking when you do it. I have done plenty of public speaking, and it never gets easy. I suppose after it is going on for a while, you let your guard down and semi-forget you are recording it.

Yeah exactly Oldschool it comes more natural during it.
We would like to get one of you from down under on, the length is about normal for podcast with 4 people.

Not for me! I'm a relatively smooth speaker when I'm not being recorded, but I can't listen past Drunkalilly's Lion King rendition to this one because of me gigantically crapping up my opening speech with stammers and whatnot.
I don't want to put OS off: just saying it's not like that for everyone.

I think it comes with time - I hated listening to the first podcast I did back, but this one wasn't as bad. Besides, it's not like actual public speaking where you've people to impress. I don't think any of us care if you stammer or stumble over your words, we're just here for the bantz and some chats, really!

I hate the sound of my voice. I am pretty sure I am quite nasally, and not slightly manly. A few years back I recorded the entire sales training programme for work, so I could listen to it in the car. Soon after, I had my daughter redo it and she sounded so much better (I was asked if I hired a professional, but it was my 16 year old). I won an award at work for it and they had me give copies to all the staff, but during my little speech on it, I joked that the original version was me doing the voice, but research had concluded that prolonged listening to me can lead to depression, suicidal thoughts and the desire to commit mass killings.
The other aspect of listening to yourself is that you realise what you tend to repeat. I recorded on video a major presentation I once did and it was painful. My repeat word was 'okay', starting far to many sentences with it. I used to amuse myself at speeches by picking up on the presenters repeat word and then running a raffle on how many times they would say that word. Trouble is, we almost all do it. I think my repeat word now is 'so' at the start of sentences.
Anyone self aware of what they say?

Somebody on my floor at work has a really odd accent: German mixed with posh London. Lots of overwrought vowels. Which is fine, only she speaks really loudly. So I can hear "sae baysicklee" floating across the entire floor.
I've started saying "essentially" since. But that's by the by: I'm sure you'll be fine, OS!

Yes, I was well naffed off with that. Since then I've found my headset and upgraded to super fast broadband, so if you cannot hear me properly next time I'm invited, it's the laptop.

At work we all had to video record a portion of one of our lessons. Watching it back was horrific, for that very reason. :shrink: I now try to rotate between "OK", "Now" and "So" to bring the class's attention back to me.

There are one or two phrases I repeat Yeah. I can't remember what it was but there was one we were all laughing at way back in the first podcast and I said it should be a drinking game.
I actually got over the nerves pretty quickly. I have no issue with public speaking and actually am looking into doing some stand-up
