| At the mouth of Rock Tunnel and Baby the Weepinbell is benched. Caught me a Machop, that staple of my Pokémon teams over the years. Palatinate is its name (ruddy blue).
More on that story later. |

| I never go for the trade evolution 'Mon as I've no mates and it frustrates me when I can't fully evolve a 'Mon!
Question: have any of you pulled off the infamous Mew glitch? I'm tempted to try it out as I'm in Cerulean just now. |

| I did! From memory as well I just popped her in the box, because I don't want to cheat to victory, but I wanted to have it for pokédex purposes. I kept Abra on my team though. |

| Aye, I don't plan to use Mew either, but it'd be nice to have one to pass forward to Sun and Moon for Pokédex purposes there. |

My thinking as well. It is a fun glitch to pull off as well. I love the RBY glitches because they show you how scrappily put together the game was. You start to see little things here and there of how it all works, the tricks they used to squeeze something so amazing into a little Game Boy cartridge. |

| I'd never even heard of the glitch before, but managed to pull it off after following the instructions. Will admit I am using it at the moment |

Question: have any of you pulled off the infamous Mew glitch? I'm tempted to try it out as I'm in Cerulean just now. I hear there's a GNamer Forum Meet 'Em Up DIGRESSION ALERT: Literally just thought of that. May have to change the thread name now... in a season's time. Someone might be willing to trade monsters with you. Never tried the Mew glitch and have lost my chance. Got to Celadon. |

| I'll probably do that, to be honest. It'd be good to fill out the gaps in the Pokédex too - Yellow lacks some 'Mon easily found in Red and Blue. |

| I decided not to do the Mew - I thought I'd try and play legit. Just one noob question: After the SS Anne goes away, does it come back? I didn't go in all of the rooms in one of the lower decks, but did help the captain. So I might've missed some loot and levelling . I'm trying to do it properly this time - when I played Crystal, I didn't know what I was doing with types etc., and just relied on my OP starter. But now I'm levelling up teams of 6 for each gym leader like a pro... except it takes so long! It's a good job it's Pokémon... |

Once inside, talk to Bill 20 times. Eventually, he'll tell you the SS Anne has redocked. On board, you can fight Mew legit (he's hiding under a truck, you need to press A by the truck to trigger the fight). Source: my uncle works at Nintendo. |

| I'm now at the entrance of Rock Tunnel, but having started with Charmander and having raised a team which has no water or grass types, I'm now training up a traded Squirtle to make the journey through the tunnel a little easier. I do have a Butterfree, but rock throw does a number on it :/
I've been leveling up 6+ mons as early as possible, and my usual lineup is Charmeleon, Clefairy, Raticate, Butterfree, Gravler, and Pidgeotto at the moment, but I've got Wartortle, Sandshrew and Pikachu on standby.
I did want to do the Mew glitch, but before I read up on it I had already broken the required conditions. I'm still happy enough going through Red without Mew though, and I might pick up Yellow at some point in the (distant?) future. |

| Drowzee's Confusion is quite handy for Rock Tunnel. |

| That's true, but I want to avoid using Abra/Drowzee too much because I've always used phsychics heavily in the past. I could also just use the Water Gun TM I found in Mt Moon on Raticate... actually, I can't believe it took me writing that out just this second to think of doing that. I'm going to do that. |

| Progress for me too - Surge has been zapped!
My team's shaping up - Pikachu LVL 20, Mankey LVL 20, Charmeleon LVL 24, Squirtle LVL 10, Weepinbel LVL 21 and Sandshrew the Cutmaster LVL 7. I'm planning to ditch Squirtle as soon as I can get a Staryu or Lapras. Mankey isn't long for this team either, but he'll help in Rock Tunnel. |

| Erika has fallen, though curse the effectiveness of Paralyze and Wrap in Gen 1! I was actually delighted when my lead 'mon was poisoned instead, which is barking. Anyway, now to sort out those mugs at the casino... *cracks knuckles* |

| The real answer - afraid not, chap. Any trainers you've not battled or items you've not picked up are lost forever. |

| Got a couple of Abras from the casino. I feel shame. Now, where's that young lad who had a Mr. Mime for me if I had an Abra? Love me a slice of that creepy psychic clown. |

| While I was supposed to be working, I had a sneaky game under the checkout. Beat Surge almost entirely using my Wartortle and Dig. |
