| Nintendo refuse to rule out Advance Wars on mobile. How 'bout it, Vancers? Would the series be a good fit on mobile? |

| Yeah, it'd work well on mobile. I'll take anything to get some more Wars action! |

| If Arnold Schwarzenegger endorsed games are anything to go by then it'll do well on mobile, would much rather they made a proper one though. |

| Those games are all about rinsing players for microtranscations, that's why they're so successful. That treatment would absolutely kill Advance Wars' famously balanced combat. |

Finding the balance between needing to make money whilst staying true to the principles of the games is probably why the mobile game doesn't exist yet... but I would back Nintendo to find a way. How long that takes - if it happens at all! - is another question/pair of questions. Er. |

| Watch out for Nintendo's share price skyrocketing/plummeting in the next few days, because a Nintendo Direct for the Animal Crossing mobile game has just been announced. |

| Lot's of reports that Nintendo will be stepping away from mobile.
Now myself never been that bothered about 5 mobile games but back when it was 3DS and Wii U with the U's lack of success that mobile was needed for Nintendo.
Sure Switch is successful, and I just thought of it alongside mobile. If mobile output stops, isn't it putting all of Nintendo's eggs in one basket where I've always known them to have two pillars at a time. |

| But the whole point of Switch was "wouldn't it be great if Nintendo weren't split between two pillars".
I didn't hate Mario Run, I legit love Pokémon Go, and I downloaded but never even bothered to play Mario Kart and Animal Crossing. I don't particular care about the mobile stuff, but if this means even one extra first-party Switch game, I'm all for it.
Besides, phones aren't going anywhere if Nintendo suddenly do need an extra couple of bob. |

| Yeah it was the whole point, I'm thinking more long term and in 3 years time (Switch will be about 6 years old) and Switch 2 doesn't take off but Nintendo have comeback before strongly.
I reckon we will still plenty from Pokémon on mobile though |

| I'm quite surprised by that news from Nintendo. I don't think Mario Run, Mario Kart Tour or Animal Crossing Pocket Camp lit the world on fire or anything, but haven't Fire Emblem Heroes and Pokémon GO done absolute gangbusters for them? |

| Fire Emblem yes. Pokemon has done gangbusters but Go is a few steps removed from Nintendo. They have a big stake in TPCI so I'm sure it doesn't hurt their bank account but its not the same as a literal Nintendo game raking in cashola. |

| That's true - I always forget that Pokémon isn't directly handled by Nintendo.
Didn't Nintendo have another mobile title as well? Dragalia Lost? |

This. It's not really felt like that yet though, so if moving away from mobile titles can help Nintendo re-focus their efforts, getting even one more medium-to-big game out the door than they would have done otherwise (that isn't full of the kinda egregious microtransactional guff they've fallen prey to), I'm all for it. |

| I personally think it all went downhill when they closed down Miitomo. |

| I still get Switch friend suggestions from someone that added me on Miitomo. |
