You have what ever that company has in the terms of money and resources to take them in any direction you want along with time etc I'm hearing Jay would have said Capcom. I will give it tonight to around 8pm tonight to see if anyone else want's to play, then I will draw your company. |

| ...this is going to turn into an economics project, isn't it. I think I'll be giving three answers: one that's an attempt at a feasible business plan (that still does stuff I want), one that assumes I get a big fat interest-free loan to do some stuff with, and one that's verging on wildest dreams material. |

| Alright, let's do this thing. - I got...:
EA! Damn. The one I wanted to do least on the list. A company who (a) is Western, (b) has produced literally a single thing I've enjoyed (and that was one of their lesser-known games), and (c) isn't up for a big revival like Midway. Still, it's not like I can't do anything with it; just expect me to weigh in on other companies to compensate. The one good thing about EA, from my point of view, is that they're rolling in filthy lucre. Meaning that I don't have to worry about that aspect of them. So this is all going to be fairly idealised. PARTNERSHIP WITH LEVEL-5Okay okay, so Level-5 was my suggested company. And I'm currently playing Yo-Kai Watch, so they're fresh in my mind. But the more I think about them, the more places I can see overlap. So, EA extend some of their dosh in exchange for a foothold in the lucrative Japanese market. Maybe they make a spin-off, Yo-Kai FIFA or something. Unimportant how it gets there. Important that they can use L5's IP in their games. CRAWLING BACK TO NINTENDOIt's me, what else did you expect? The Wii U will be dead by the time I take over (already is really), but no matter how underpowered and gimmicky the NX is, my EA will be going on their hands and knees to Kimishima, offering to make and port great games to the new console. Some stuff on the 3DS too, but EA is "Triple-A" and their "talents" are better spent on the most powerful Nintendo console out there. Every single EA game will appear on a Nintendo console, or bust. I mean it. If there is a chance that EA will go bust if it releases one more game on a Nintendo platform, do it and bugger the shareholders. (But there's no chance of that, let's be honest. EA is rolling in it.) SPORTSI couldn't give less of a toss about the sports games. Focus will be significantly reduced. We'll keep churning them out, of course. A nice stream of income. But a lot of that will be in the vein of the Wii FIFA games: updated rosters to attract the whales. In so far as we do make any changes to them, expect them to be more arcade-y. Fast-paced, power-ups, special moves and stuff. Ported across all consoles, but in a killer move, we'll use Nintendo characters in the Nintendo versions, à la NBA Street V3. Unlocked from the off, you don't need to touch the other teams if you don't want to. Looking at you, Wii FIFA game I bought purely for the Mii mode, only to find out that was unlockable. So, expect Miis in everything. A selection of armoured characters barging their way through Madden: Samus, Onox (from Oracle of... Seasons I think it was), Steel Pokémon. Brawlers such as Donkey Kong and Bowser taking to the UFC ring. Waluigi dangling from NBA's baskets. Mario Karts in Need for Speed (if that counts as sport). As for FIFA? That's where our first Level-5 tie-in occurs, as Mark Evans and his schoolboy chums take to the field, super moves and all! (We'll buy the Don Bradman Cricket licence if we can too. Link gets to bat with the Master Sword.) No particular desire to make this idea single-format, by the way. Kratos in UFC or Solaire in Madden might be fun. FPSESSod 'em. They're all worse than GoW, CoD, and Splatoon anyway. Sell them off where possible. Perhaps keep Star Wars Battlefront, upgrade to space dog-fights. Titanfall has potential, but expect it to go more like Mirror's Edge, or Metroid Prime. Campaign emphasis, exploration emphasis. Beautiful colourful worlds that you get to robot around (Crysis engine?), online multiplayer a side-mode. Oh, and we'll keep Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (which is a TPS anyway). That looks hilarious. But it'll have a campaign, and again, it's coming to NX. MASS EFFECTI've got no particular desire to fiddle around with this franchise. Keep it for the fans. However, it has some making up to do. That's right, I'm talking a full and classy port of the entire quadrilogy onto NX, and a company apology for releasing ME3 at Wii U launch, then crying when it didn't sell. DRAGON AGEI left ME how it is. This RPG series, I get to do what I like with. Choices are straight out. We're talking a more streamlined experience, where you can see everything meaningful in the game in one playthrough (besides the romances, but they won't effect the plot or lock off side-quests that you can't get through other means). Oh, and faux-medieval Britain? So passé. Dragon Age Rising Sun will move to a new continent, with a medieval Japanese aesthetic, the titular dragons based on their wise Asian cousins, and the enemies based around Japanese mythology. The whole thing will look a lot less grim too, we're talking colourful interesting enemies without losing the series' tackling of mature issues. If you think you can see another Level-5 crossover coming... you're right! Expect some appearances between slightly matured-up Jibanyan, Whisper, and Yo-Kai Watch's other cute critters. REVIVED FRANCHISESAlong with Mirror's Edge, which will be greenlit for another few games, there's some other stuff I'd like to awaken from the EA archives. I never got the chance to play American McGee's Alice or its sequel - let's have them re-mastered, issues sorted out, coming to Nintendo. Dante's Inferno was a brilliant idea (journeying through Hell! Genius!) that was squandered: complete reboot of that one. Dante's closer to a poet and less of an arse, SPM-like hub and Zelda-like dungeons, and a bit more colour. Just because it's Hell, doesn't mean it needs to look like it was shat out by a demon. Where are the bright reds, lurid greens? The thing I'd be most excited for EA to reboot, though? OH YES. If you've not heard of this, it was a very English-stereotype adventure through Tealand, hard as nails shooty-platformer with a puzzle game on the second screen that impacted gameplay. And you piloted a golden tea-powered robot. Sequel. If the NX has a second screen somehow, I want a fully 3D Hatsworthian adventure, in a Yooka-Laylee vein; otherwise, 3DS. Gleaming golden Tea Time robot. And Professor Layton makes an appearance, natch. NEW IPEA has the cash. Let's take some risks with it. By which I mean, develop a massive one-player adventure which isn't trying stupidly hard to be "mature", but has a huge world to explore. XCX with seamless combat and an actual story, that sort of thing. FINALLYNo on-disc DLC. No microtransactions. No pre-order DLC. Games will stand and die on their own, charged for as premium experiences. Except Henry Hatsworth 2 which will come at a discount so that everyone will buy it. I'm sure my ideas won't appeal to many many fans of EA's games as they stand, but since when have EA cared about their fans in the first place? In fact, me taking over would be the logical next step.
Looking forward to seeing what other people come up with! And hopefully I'll be allowed to weigh in myself on the other companies, any of which (bar Midway) I'm likely to know more about.

| I forgot EA owned Bioware and consequently Mass Effect and Dragon Age. Whilst I don't agree with your ideas for Dragon Age (I like having choices in games, as we've probably discussed before) you'd certainly take EA into a far more interesting route than they're currently on.
Still drafting up my thoughts - I've a lot to say about my company! |

| Rare was founded in 1985 by the Stamper Brothers. It produced games as a third party before being bought by Nintendo, where it produced cracking platformers, racers and shooters for the SNES and N64.
In 2002, Rare was purchased by Microsoft to work on games for Xbox. Despite bringing much needed variety and innovation to the Xbox library, as time went on people began to doubt Rare still held that magic from the Nintendo days. Working behind the scenes for a while on things like Kinect and Avatars, they seemed like a forgotten hero from another time..
Then Rare Replay was released, a glorious celebration of the company's past, and Sea of Thieves was announced. Was the old Rare making a comeback? It certainly seemed that way when visionary creative, business powerhouse, sex icon, muscular wrestler and world Excite Truck Champion of the World Master Cheese Pepperoni Officer 420 Luke Jonathan "Buska "Drunkalilly" Lilly" James Summerhayes was announced as CEO, COO and Elder God.Luke Good afternoon ladies and gentleman, welcome to the first general staff meeting here at Rare under my leadership. I want you to know that this is an open discussion, so if you have any questions or ideas, I'm happy to hear them. Employee I actually had some pitches I wanted to show you? Luke I was obviously just saying that to be polite. My word is immutable law, and if any of you challenge me I will put you through a table. My first act as president, king, god-emperor and overlord of Rare was to obtain a number of compromising pictures of Phil Spencer, to ensure my other ideas can come to fruition without Microsoft "doing a Lionhead." Employee Oh, thank god. Closes window in which she was writing a resumé.Luke Secondly, I'mma let y'all finish Sea of Thieves, because that seems pretty good. After that, we are going to crack on with producing rich, full-price, retail, single-player games. First will be a proper Banjo Threeie, a bit like Yooka-Laylee but with ridonculous money behind it and amazing graphics. After that, we're going to get the band back together who made Diddy Kong Racing and get them to produce an amazing, high-def, super fast Kart Racer. It'll probably have Banjo and the Battletoads in it, and some Pinatas, and I'll talk to Microsoft about getting some other characters in there like Master Chief. Speaking of Master Chief, I've been working on a deal with the Microsoft Boys. After those games, we're taking control of Halo 6. I like what the 343 boys are doing with story, but the campaigns have been getting very linear, very COD. We're gonna get stuck in there and give Halo back some of that silliness and open playfullness that made the originals great. By the time Halo 6 is out the door, Nintendo will have pushed out the NX and become the richest technology company on Earth. They're gonna buy us back at that point, and I've got some big ideas. More on that later. |

| Two of you have already exposed how little I know about EA/'Ware. Beetle Adventure Racing's DNA will definitely make a reappearance - the adventure game-cum-racing template is too good not to get another airing. Jade Empire could be a good starting point, however I feel that the Dragon Age moniker has more clout in this day and age. Plus any heroine is going to be a bit more covered up than that thank you. And that's a thing: the new IP will start a disabled black woman of non-traditional beauty. Probably with a thoroughly badass wheelchair or something. She beats up people who say things like "OMG the SJWs are taking over everything" and similar. And while I did that, Drunka wrote up his post. Good stuff... albeit all on a console I can't play at the moment. Even when I'm God-King of EA, I'll still only have a Nintendo console, out of sheer pig-headedness. (I'd feel for Yooka-Laylee though, and I reckon the soundtrack will still be better than anything now!Rare could produce because David Wise.) I didn't get From. I wish I'd got From. |

| - I'm running :
Under my leadership I plan to take Bandai Namco to new heights, by bringing the games the gamers want from studios in Japan to West along with partnerships around the world. Praise the Sun My first action is to scrap the name Lords of the Fallen 2 and rebrand it as Dark Souls IV along with working with Blue Point on porting over Dark Souls along with all its DLC to PS4, Xbox One and for the very first time a Souls game making its Nintendo debut on the NX. JRPG’s We plan to do what Nintendon’t and bring the nearest thing to Pokemon to a console exclusively to the NX with Digimon World: Next Order HD but no need to worry RPG fans on PlayStation as the Sword Art: Online series along with Tales of will remain exclusive to PlayStation. I do plan to talk to the Tales of Team and give them some time off after the release of Tales of Berseria to develop a Tales of Game which can stand side by side with the JRPG’s from our competitors. Baten Kaitos IP will be given to Nintendo, as were never going to use it again and inreturn Monolith Soft will make an Episode 4 of Xenosaga and Blue Point we do a KOS-MOS collection for the NX. The Classic’s To celebrate my appointment to president of Bandai Namco, we will also be releasing an Arcade Hit’s package which will include Galaxian, Galaga, Dig Dug, Pac-Man, Ms Pac-Man, Pac-Man Plus, Jr Pac-Man, Super Pac-Man and many more versions of Pac-Man. Something else the world of gaming always needs is plastic peripherals and to fill the gap in the market we are bringing back Point Blank along with G-Con with a gritty reboot set in Japan where you play as a Tokyo detective’s trying to take down the Yakuza. The real King of FightersSoulCalibur is coming back and will be available on PS4, Xbox One and NX with each version having special guest character’s. The PS4 will get Kratos & Nariko, Xbox One will get Arbiter & Cortana, and the NX version will have Link & Linkle. Some less import stuff which we need to bring back It’s Ridge RacerWe need a racing game on the portfolio FPSAs we currently don’t have a FPS on our portfolio, we will heavily invest in building a new studio headed up by Mike Harrington to work on Kill Switch reboot. Platforming Due to the demand we have seen for the classic platformer, Klonoa will be coming back in a brand new adventure available right now for iOS & Android. The rest of our IP’s we continue to develop as is and we will continue to invest in games such as We Love Katamari to continue to keep a broad portfolio of games. One more thing Platinum will be working on the next Mighty Morphin Power Rangers game.

| Digimon World: Next Order will still be on VITA as well but not in glorious 1080p 60fps like the NX version which will be the only way to play the game on a TV.
Xenosaga Collection and Episode 4 will come to PS4 and NX.
I was trying to think of a female character which can fight for the NX version which will now be Lucina instead of Linkle. |

| Why Rare hasn't been tasked with developing a Microsoft-exclusive kart racer to rival Mario Kart has always been a bit of a mystery to me. It's clear that Rare have the pedigree. Diddy Kong Racing is still so revered, even twenty years after it came out. For them to develop "an amazing, high-def (and) super fast" version of it makes a lot of sense. Everybody likes Diddy Kong Racing, and kart racers are never going to go out of style.
Imagine releasing a new Klonoa on iOS and Android. You dirty bastard.
My spiel has been typed, but I'll save it until the conversation dies down a bit. There's more to be said with what's already been posted today. |

In regards to all the annual sports games, I've felt for a long time that EA should release one game per system and then have said annual updates - squads, shirts, stats, etc. - as DLC for a fiver (or so). If they went down the DLC route, they could also have soundtrack updates or comedy teams or whatever they wanted, really. - Drunkalilly wrote:

Retro*sigh* Retro isn't a company, you idiots... it's a genre, of sorts, and that's if you follow the abstraction of its original meaning. Board games aren't all made by Board Games Ltd., are they? MD Geoff Board.
Oh wait, now I get it, this is
Retro StudiosAh - I get to be in charge of a company that's been 2nd/3rd party throughout its existence...
Realistic plan Guys, here's the e-mail on our 5 year strategy... Whatever Nintendo says to make
Jimbob, try harder you shit-head "Hi all... as CEO of Retro studios... I know that Metroid Prime put you on the map, but I didn't really like it. And you did a good job with Donkey Kong Country Returns - the second was even better than the first - but I don't think we need another one just yet. So, I guess we wait to see what Nintendo IP is thrown our way...
Ice Climbers?
Oh, uh...
Can we make the game a potentially co-op physics-based climbing adventure? There's like some kind of lore at the top of the... mountain? Glacier?
What was that? 99% of our fanbase want Metroid Prime 4? Those people sound like idiots to me HEY WHERE ARE YOU THROWING ME"*crash*
Alternatively... Retro are a good company, but obvoiously they're only really known for their handling of other IPs - and specifically Nintendo's. So if they weren't working on a Nintendo franchise, and escaped from their grasp, they could work on rejuvinating: Mega Man or Mother? Wait that's Nintendo again or nicking Perfect Dark back off both Rare and whatever Free Radical became
