| Someone's rubbing in his fancypants honeymoon! The genuine answer is: take lots of photographs, of everything, all the while feeling a bit starstruck and shy. |

| It was most excellent, fellow dudes. Anyway, it really is time for the question to change. IF you were in charge of amiibo and amiibo-related games, what would you do next? |

| Shove an R&D team in a room, and tell them not to come out* until they've figured out a way to make the read-write method of amiibo meaningful. And/or get people working on a proper amiibo-focussed RPG thing which uses all the characters currently amiibo-fied.

| Introduce a series of fun but not essential unlockables across multiple games which are tied to achieving things in other games. Beat the time trial on the Hyrule course in Mario Kart then use your Link amiibo to unlock something in Zelda.
Although, actually, just keep bringing out nice little toys of my favourite Nintendo characters. The rest is a bonus. |

That's better than anything I can think up, and it's actually possible in this day and age of content patches and whatnot. |

| The amiibo RPG is the one I would go for, or something that you could use literally all of the amiibo on. I would also slow down on releasing new ones, simply to avoid saturating the market with them (if that hasn't happened already). Finally, make them useful in far more games, including third party ones. Now to regenerate! IF you were Nintendo, Microsoft or Sony (please indicate which in your reply), how would you play E3? Big presence with one key presentation? Direct'n'Treehouse? Other? |

| If I were Microsoft, moving to what might be the first showing now to get as much buzz for as long as possible for Scorpio.
I would have also watched how Sony showed off the PlayStation 4 Pro and how dreadful that was, along with knowing that most watching the conference will be watching in HD not 4K and having to explain the benefits of Scorpio.
How you actually do that, I've got no idea and what games do you show as well is the question? |

| If I was Microsoft, I'd chat a little about Scorpio to give folks an idea as to why you should pick it up (true 4K etc.) and then overload us with games. If they spend too long talking about the console itself and not enough time talking about games to play on it, why bother buying one?
If I was Sony, I'd throw PS VR into a burning lake and not bring it up once. Talk about games, and more games.
If I was Nintendo, I'd stick to the tried and tested Direct leading into Treehouse showing off Direct reveals. Show us what to expect with the 3DS's swansong and talk about what's to come in 2018 and later this year with Switch. I'd show off proper gameplay for Super Mario Odyssey and Fire Emblem Warriors, show off Smash on Switch and blow everyone away with a brief teaser for a new 3D Metroid. That'll be 2018's big whammy for Nintendo along with Smash 4 Deluxe/Smash 5. |

I don't know exactly what I'd do with E3 as Nintendo - probably Direct 'n' Treehouse given how well that's worked - but one thing I wouldn't do is this. Or if I did, no more than five minutes in the middle of the presentation. Admittedly I'm biased, y'all know how much I want the 3DS to pass gently into the night and let the Switch rule the Nintendo handheld roost. But that's the thing: they've got a brand new machine here. They've got a big Direct of probably no more than an hour. And ten minutes of 3DS will seem like skimping on Switchtime, looking back when they should be looking forward. 'They could have put a new Switch game in that slot,' people will cry, with the usual vitriol of the entitled Internet gamer, but a hint of justification as well. So expect Nintendo to lead off with 15 minutes of 3DS. Focussing on the latest Arzest game. I guess what I would do is open with a game we haven't seen that isn't their killer app. for the showing, perhaps SSB4D; then intersperse gameplay for games we knew about beforehand/smaller games with games we didn't (including Mario/Rabbids, any remasters including Pokémon if that's a thing, and at least a glimpse of BG&E2); pretend to end on a good five-minute Mario Odyssey trailer and talk... then WHAM new big game from nowhere to end, à la Jay (but I can't see it being Metroid, worse luck). Oh, and instead of previous years' puppets and claymation, I'd have a Nintendo anime-type thing, or a cartoon of some sort. No talky bits lasting more than a minute unless directly about games, no dire music bits, no more than one sales figure. Just anime. [/lotsgiventhatIsaidIdidn'tknowwhatI'ddohuh] |

| I've sent a message to Reggie stating "Hi Reggie, esteemed GNamer forumite Balladeer would like me to pass you a message. He's really wanting to know about every 3DS game you've got coming out this year and next in painstaking detail. Please dedicate 30 minutes MINIMUM to satiating his undying thirst for more 3DS games. Yours, an anonymous 3DS fan. PS. please make that 40 minutes, actually."
And bugger all I've said about how Nintendo's presentation should go - it should be an hour of the Mother 3 logo with "coming this November" emblazoned underneath it, punctuated by a just off-screen Reggie bellowing Ode to Joy for 60 minutes straight. |

| You both hit the nail on the head with Nintendo on what they will also likely do.
On Jay with Sony, PSVR like last year won't be at E3 as that like VITA is a PSX thing, unless they have a massive title to announce which I very much doubt.
Sony really just need to do the same as last year as that was perfect and show the diverse catalogue of games coming, which they need to start putting dates on. |
