| My Internet is a bit buggered, but I'm just about getting this. Discuss the new presentation and Iwata in a Luigi hat here! Balla Summary:- Iwata wearing a Luigi hat: talks about "the year of Luigi";
- Miyamoto discusses LM2, including new functionality for torch, puzzles and ghosts;
- Iwata details "Scarescraper" multiplayer;
- Out in March 28th;
- MARIO AND LUIGI FOR 3DS!
- Annoying yellow thing returns;
- Takes place in Luigi's dreams - poke his face to alter the world;
- Released in Summer;
- 3DS Mario Golf, developed by Camelot;
- Contains power shots;
- To be released in summer;
- Super Luigi U to be released as DLC for the Wii U, based on NSMBU;
- Coming out this year;
- Miiverse community for Legend of Zelda series released today.
- Satoru Shibata takes over for UK only, also wearing the damn hat (he then takes it off);
- Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate released in Wii U and 3DS bundles on 22/03/2012;
- Circle Pad Pro XL comes on same day, compatible with MH3U;
- Didn't catch the name of the chap who takes over: he's talking about the save file being transferred between the two games;
- 3DS can also be used as different controllers for local multiplayer;
- EPIC FAIL! Oh, how they laughed;
- New black and white 3DS XLs to come out over the next three weeks;
- Castlevania: Lords of Shadow: Mirror of Fate now, by its producer, Mr. Cox (badly);
- 20h of gameplay, apparently;
- Examining story behind Belmont clan;
- Combat important: XP earned by defeating monsters;
- Available March 8th;
- Fire Emblem Awakening out April 19th (I think?) (EDIT: yes), including 3DS bundle with pre-installed copy of the game (he's very sorry we had to wait for so long);
- Graphics, combat classes, yadda yadda;
- We're getting all Japanese DLC, including new maps;
- First exclusive one called "Champions of Yore I";
- Satoru can't say "Etrian Odyssey IV", out this spring;
- Project Cross Zone out this summer;
- Sale for OoT3D downloadable coming out soon (didn't get date), for anyone who doesn't already have it;
- May 23rd for the concert "Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses" in London only (sorry Scots and other assorted Northerners);
- Splash and Crash is a downloadable that has you dropping a stone down a well, out February 28th;
- Code of Princess is a downloadable beat-em-up/RPG out in spring;
- 3DS ports of DS games Inazuma Eleven 3: Spark/Bomber coming out over here in summer, very very late;
- Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Blah Blah Who Cares has more than 20 dungeons (gasp!), city building and multiplayer;
- Also has really pointless AR features. Can you tell I'm not excited?
- Out May 17th;
- June 14th for Animal Crossing New Leaf;
INTERNET DIED HERE.
- New Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move downloadable spin-off for Q2;
- Donkey Kong Country Returns 3DS is a straight port. Yay?
So, that's it. Infuriatingly, nothing on Layton, and it certainly didn't have the same punch that the Wii U one did earlier in the year. Me? I'm just happy about the new Mario and Luigi. Please tell me anything I've got wrong and fill in the gaps!

| Personal highlights being EO4 and Mario Golf. Looking forward to those two. Was also happy at the FEA bundle, but...bad move making it an XL for it. It looks absolutely dreadful, especially compared to the OG FE 3DS Jap/NA got.
April 19th is later than i was hoping for Awakening too. Ah well... |

| Nice to see Fire Emblem get a date almost nailed down, pretty much the system seller that I've been waiting for. Also looking forward to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, the previous set had a pretty good story (one that blows the main series out of the water I might add) and was surprisingly emotional so I'll definitely have to pick that up as well and see if it can maintain the quality of the last one. As for the rest, I'll wait and see. |

| They had me at Diddy. It looks like a remake but I think its a new game. Not sure yet. And despite the fact I should have seen it coming a mile away Mario Golf still managed to surprise me. But I have to say my highlight is definitely Etrian Odyssey but only because I expected them to cover Monster Hunter here. |

| Super excited for Mario golf: World Tour, Luigi's Mansion 2 & Animal crossing. I'll finally be playing my 3ds again @Balla Those Inazuma games are the 3DS remakes of the DS games. (which we already have) |

| Animal crossing is awfully tempting but quite a long time away, the same length of time in fact until I sit my GCSEs. Dare I buy it at release and risk having a minimum wage job for the rest of my life? (A nauseating thought) or will I be patient and get my lovely parents to get it for me as a reward for doing well? More closer to now though it seems Castlevania is just what I need to help wile away the days and hours until Monster hunter makes it's shiny appearance. Also, although I'm not getting one those bundles seem like a typically clever idea from Ninty to boost profits. Now the 3ds will print more money! A final thought: Satoru Shibata doesn't look nearly as dashing as Iwata in that hat. An extra final though: I've just realised this may well be the longest reply I've put on here... Go me! |

| They remade Firestorm and Blizzard for 3DS? Buh? Finally, finally we have Animal Crossing and Luigi's Mansion 2 dates. Finally!I fail to see the point of a DKRC remake/port/whatever. Closest time lapse to remake an original game evar? Besides that though: yes! We have reasons to be excited about the European side of 3DS again. Happy with that. |

| Mario Golf and Mario & Luigi will be MINE. The others are either undecideds or decidedly nots, like the 3DS remakes of the Inazuma Elevens. Not needed; the originals weren't a patch on the first game, either. |

http://www.officialnintendomagazine.co.uk/46790/blog/nintendo-direct-3ds-8-things-we-want-to-be-announced/?page=6 I feel Tom East (of all people) at ONM hit the nail on the head; 3DS needs a mascot platformer for 2013, most of Nintendo's first and second-party studios are busy beavering away at other recently-announced games, Donkey Kong has yet to feature in a prominent role in a 3DS game and this can be easily ported and look brilliant too. I think this port will sell millions (at the right price). |

You won't have time for a proper job, your new life is in Animal Crossing. Skip the exams. |

| I have created a massive fifteen-option poll at the top of the page! Which of the announced 3DS games (i.e. not including New Super Luigi Bros. U) will the forum be investing in when they emerge? I'll probably end up investing in Minis March Again and Code of Princess, and then not playing them, like I do with almost all my non-Picross downloadables. - Silver light wrote:

 That's how much I know about these games. Fixed. |

| Luigi's Mansion 2 and New Leaf are the only two that I'll definitely be getting. There are a few others like DKCR3D, Mario Golf, Castlevania and Mario & Donkey Kong that I'll get once the price drops a bit. |

| Aside from the obvious Fire Emblem and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon purchases I did actually also vote for Castlevania as well. Provided I have enough money at release I very possibly will pick it up as it's one of those long running franchises I'm interested in having a go with. |
