Never been to St. Helens, although I understand that it's a rugby town? If that means Manchester, that's fine by me (and Smurfy!). There are good transport links and a lot of good bars and places to eat, too.

Middle point for me is Doncaster, so lets not get bogged down by endlessly discussing the middle point and actually agree on what is going on.

How about splitting this into phases? Chat about dates, chat about activity, chat about location or this will be endless pointless back and forward.

Sure Andy, I'm just saying if it's Newcastle for instance then that's to far for me and I'm just trying to find a happy middle for everyone being the furthest away both North and South.

@Andy: I'll sort one of those date selector things that we've used in the past soon, then.

I've been thinking about it. I've gone from "it might happen but probably not" to "if I can make this and the wedding all in one trip, it's a definite".

Must admit I've not thought at all about this, I've coasted the last couple of years on other people's arrangements. But if we want to nail it down, how about 7th/8th or 14th/15th July? I agree that having never gone, we ought to fit around Cappa and Mas as much as is reasonable.

July works fine for me! The sooner we can lock in a date, the sooner I can book holidays in provisionally.

I was thinking Manchester would be a good shout, but again, happy to go elsewhere if need be.

It's about 4 hours for me as well. JayMoyles and Jaster are probably about the same. It seems like the fairest shout. Hopefully more can get sorted soon - travel costs might hump the whole thing if we're leaving it too late to book a train.

I only just done a quick google on this but it says 6 hours all in for me but I'm fine with that.

Are you fine with 14th/15th July though Jas? As that's where we seem to have landed.

Fixed! And yes, quite possibly. That said, July seems good for most, most weekends in July don't seem good for most, and 14th/15th hasn't been shot down in flames yet. So, for a given value of 'landed'...

If we have then that should be fine for me.

Just looked it's my weekend in and I know the current GSM hates people having their weekend in off, the new one starting next month might be different but I sooner have that vote thing and I can select ones I can do without a problem.

We're going to be at least two short whenever we do it, aren't we? May 26th and July 7th looking the best options at the moment.

I should remove myself from the table entirely. I'd like to come, whenever it is, but I need to be sensible. I'm not flying back to the UK unless its permanent or I have a job and a place to live lined up to come back to. If I fly home as I am now, spend time with friends and family and that, I don't think I could leave again.

Make plans, be they May, July or other, but ignore my answers. If I can come, great, but I shouldn't act like its a definite thing.

While disappointing, that makes full sense. Good shout.

If Buskalilly is taking himself out of the plans, is the weekend of July 7th a shout? We're close to treesmurf if we're going to Manchester - I know he said that he's unavailable, but I'd there any chance that he could catch us for even just a few pints over a couple of hours? That would mean that it works out for everybody 👍
