| I finished this last night There is a significant post-game, but I think I'm done with the game now I've hit the credits. 20+ hours is enough! |

| That's still a cracking amount of time out of a free game. Did you drop any cash on it? |

| 100% free B) I guess that's the good way of looking at it. The flip side is thinking I wasted a lot of time |

| Nah - if you enjoyed the time you spent with the game, then it's not wasted time. I'd say that goes for any video game. |

I started this yesterday and it's alright, good enough for a mobile-style game that you play in tiny bursts, but I do think it's a bit grindy. I got quite lucky early as the Vulpix I got was level 15, and I got a level 15 Porygon shortly thereafter, so the first 3 worlds were cakewalks. My girlfriend, on the other hand, got a level 3 Vulpix but when she cooked up an Onix things got much easier for her. I've hit a bit of a wall now that my team is around 3,500 strength. It feels like you could do with a bit of luck in terms of attracting good pokemon, but you're only ever potentially one cook away from one that'll really add to the team. There's definitely a light-layer of strategy, and I've had my team punch as much as 400 points (or about 10%) above their weight. Currently I have Charmeleon as the primary damage dealer, supported by a tanky Porygon and a Magnamite with fairly underwhelming stats, but the ability to spam supersonic is useful as it stops us taking a bunch of damage. |

| I've been plugging away at this for 20-minute intervals, twice a week, for a few months now. I was enjoying it - ultimately what I'd like about Pokemon is to level up and evolve, and therefore be friends with as many Pokemon as possible. However, with levelling being based on clearing the expeditions, even though I am enjoying the active participation more than the normal turn-based play that you bloody weebs love so very much is traditional to fans of the genre... there is a sudden spike in the difficulty that is basically stumping me. So I've given up ever getting my Kabuto to become a Kabutops. I guess I didn't pay anything for this, so I've definitely got my money's worth in that regard, but it felt a bit cynical to have this here. |

| I still give it a go every now and then to slowly grind through it but its only really in the background when I'm doing something else, it doesn't really deserve my time in all honesty, the level spike is horrible.
