A new game from the creator of Gunman Clive which I have to say looks absolutely superb even if the name is complete shit.
Anyone else like the look of this?

I completely missed this when it was announced! It's basically 2D robot Shadow of the Colossus with Gunman Clive combat, isn't it? All the way up for this!

I only just found out about it yesterday myself, it also has a bit of Contra vibe to it as well.

Yep just without the clunky, repetitive play.
Trolling aside this looks brill, from the trailer alone it looks like they've got quite a bit of variety in the battles, something that always worries me about the boss rush genre.

Mechstermination would be a class name on it's own, but having Force on the end of the title makes it sound proper Early Learning Centre. Maybe that's what they're going for though? Too soon to say, but the trailer looks good. I'm up for this too!

I never got around to the Clives but throw some mechs in there and I'm on it like a car bonnet (which is also my chest because I'm a transformer in this simile)

Get around to the Clives if you can! I think you can buy the duology on Switch? Hopefully for cheapish. They're good fun and they're really short - they make nice fresheners between bigger games, I'd reckon.

Don't knock the ELC, some of my finest childhood moments came from there! Granted, not many of the ones involving robot-shooting.
I've just realised what it reminds me of actually: Mighty Switch Force. Which I don't think was meant to be all that.
