| Oh dear!
EDIT: That's not good but any game that has any form of content creation is always very very difficult to police, I definitely don't agree with it being removed and the person being suspended for 9 hours but Nintendo obviously have a zero tolerance policy for anything deemed to be political. And again because its so hard to police this sort of thing a lot of more inappropriate things will get through or be missed. |

| Fuck's sake Nintendo. I get taking down the crude stages featuring Mario with a big floppy tadger and whatnot - as hilarious as that is, gotta protect the kids - but taking down the stage linked in the article is a poor show indeed. |

| Sigh. We all love Nintendo, but at the end of the day it's another big company, and therefore is going to make shoddy decisions to avoid hurting its bottom line/causing controversy. A shame, but sadly not unexpected.
I'm going to come across as really ignorant here, so Drunka: what's the Japanese attitude compared to trans rights, compared to the UK? (Not the US, fuck the US.) I know they're more socially conservative in some ways, but more liberal than others. Just wondering where the Japanese treatment of transgender people lies. |

| I'm not really qualified to answer this, but I'd imagine it isn't great. Anyone who deviates from the norm is treated pretty crappily here to be honest. |

| I might be wrong isn't even things disabled access is pretty much non-existent in places that if that's so then can only imagine LGBT things being worse. |

| Disabled access is pretty bad, but then Japanese healthcare is pretty amazing so maybe people with disabilities are just treated better on an individual level? |

I wasn't sure whether the LGB part might actually be pretty good in Japan? Hence my question really. It seems to be more unashamedly in the public eye than out West, but I think I recall someone saying that it's merely fetishised, not respected. |
