| Ahh yes, the games of April... the state of the games of April...
Let's go with the following:
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga - Releases April 5th.
Outside of Switch Sports, I feel like this is the only notable game coming out this month. So there's yer dinner.
Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition - releases April 7th. Don't tell Cappa I've put another JRPG on here
Chinatown Detective Agency - Releases April 7th
Sorry everyone, no idea what this is other than some point and click game Mas recommended. I have no idea if this will get enough traction to get reviewed by the critics. Link to the steam page below. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1172190/Chinatown_Detective_Agency/
Nintendo Switch Sports - releases April 29th
Natch
I'll jot up the scores for March over the weekend. |

| - Spoiler:
LEGO Star Wars 88 think this will be a banger
Chrono Trigger not the 94 like on PS1 maybe around the 81 mark
Chinatown I've got this in Fantasy Critic which I feel it will get me 12 points so 82
Switch Sports 81 feel they could mess up the motion with the Joy-Cons maybe or online doesn't work quite right

"What do you know there, Norm?"
"How to sit, how to drink. Want to quiz me?"
Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition - 78
"What's going on, Mr. Peterson?"
"Let's talk about what's going in Mr. Peterson. Beer, Woody".
Chinatown Detective Agency - 72
"Hey, how would a beer feel, Mr. Peterson?"
"Pretty nervous if I was in the room".
Nintendo Switch Sports - 80
"How's life treating you, Norm?"
"Like he caught in bed with his wife"

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga - Feels like it's going to be big-ish. 84
Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition - Hrrrrrrm, this one. Honestly the trailer looked like a hot mess visually, which is the main reason I'm not into Mas shunting it in with the quality-looking Live-A-Live. But it is the Chrono series, so it's probably good. What did the original get... 94!? Cripes. That's brought my prediction up by about ten points. Er, 80?
Chinatown Detective Agency - Ooh, spiritual successor to Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? Just what I've been after. I don't think it'll set people alight though. 64
Nintendo Switch Sports - Will nostalgia outweigh the fact that the offering looks a bit soulless? I don't think so. Maybe? 77
This month feels like it has a lot of scope to absolutely bugger me for the rest of the year.

| - Spoiler:
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga - 83% Lego games don't traditionally score incredibly but the added hype and the fact it's Star Wars will elevate this slightly above the others.
Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition - 79% This one could be anywhere, not exactly much to go off so I'll try and play it safe.
Chinatown Detective Agency - 75% This looks like quite a throwback which will definitely split opinion but those interested in the genre will likely be the ones reviewing it so it should fare well enough.
Nintendo Switch Sports - 81% I'm expecting this to be tonnes of fun and the nostalgia factor should help it too but I don't think it'll set the world alight like it's predecessors.

| Why I think LEGO Skywalker do well is all that time in the oven and switch to the over the shoulder camera etc, that sort feels like a reboot for the LEGO series which was a tad stell. |

Chinatown Detective bois - 78 - Fucking no idea
Chrono Triggered - 83 - It'll do just fine
Switch Sports - 74 - I just think it's moment in the sun has passed. Solid, but not spectacular.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga - 75 - probably fun, but the Lego games are diminishing returns and all that
Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition - 85 - the two people that reviewed it gave it an 8 and a 9
Chinatown Detective Agency - look I like point and clicks but could they be a bit jollier than these modern pixelly ones? 70
Nintendo Switch Sports - 78 - OK, but not this again

Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition - releases April 7th. 85, a rushed/average looking port might hamper it
Chinatown Detective Agency - Releases April 7th 79, fuck knows
Nintendo Switch Sports - releases April 29th 73, there will be a few positives but I reckon a lot of people will be disappointed.

| Hello everyone, it's been a while since I tended to this. Here are the scores from March. I'll double post and put the April scores up in a moment... Game 1: Project Triangle Strategy - 83% - This game did about as well as we all expected. Everybody was within 2 points of the target, but nobody was spot on! Game 2: Chocobo GP - 65% - This was the month's wild card game. Guesses were all over the place, from as high as 80, to as low as 64. Crumpy got this one bang to rights, with Balla just 1 point shy. Game 3: Ghostwire Tokyo - 77% - I'm annoyed this didn't do better for fantasy critic reasons. But Jimbob won't care, he got this predicted perfectly. Game 4: Tiny Tina's Wonderland - 79% - I'm annoyed this did better than Ghostwire for fantasy critic reasons. Cappa doesn't care though - he was the only one to hit the nail on the head with this one. - How did we do?:
=1. The Cappa Kid - 10 (2-1-7-0) =1. Balladeer - 10 (1-1-7-1) 3. Treesmurf - 12 (2-6-3-1) 4. Masofdas - 13 (1-5-5-2) 5. Muss - 15 (1-2-10-2) 6. Rum - 17 (1-5-5-6) 7. Jimbob - 21 (2-15-0-4) =8. Jaster - 22 (1-7-11-3) =8. Crumpy Andy - 22 (2-0-12- =10. gjones - 23 (1-11-10-1) =10 JayMoyles - 23 (2-7-9-5) Another close month at the top of the table, this time we have our first co-winners. Ghostwire seems to be the game that's caused the most damage to many people's scores. Smurf continues to be Mr. Consistency, with another top 3 effort that should keep him atop the leaderboard, with Mas just a point shy. Rum and I continue to be closely matched in seemingly every month, but it's me who gets ahead by a nose this month. Jimbob's faith in Chocobo GP cost him 15 points in an otherwise bloody well played month. And just 2 points separated the bottom 5!
- The overall leader board:
1. Treesmurf - 11.88 (Last month: 1) =2. Balladeer - 13.25 (=3) =2. Cappa Kid - 13.25 (=3) 4. Masofdas - 13.38 (2) 5. Muss - 14.38 (=6) 6. Rum - 14.63 (=6) 7. JayMoyles - 16.00 (5) 8. Crumpy Andy - 17.00 ( 9. gjones -20.86 (9) 10. Jimbob - 20.88 (10) 11. Jaster - 22.00 (11) 12. Buskalilly - 122.5 (12) Smurf remains atop the table, but Cappa and Balladeer have closed the ground a little after this month. Mas falls from second to fourth, whilst Rum and I benefit from Jay having an off month. Things are tight at the tail end too, and Jas managed to get the exact same score as his average this month.

| And now the scores from April... Last month gave us Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga - 82% - Pretty much the ballpark that most of us were expecting, but Rum managed to guess this one perfectly. Chrono Cross: The radical dreamers edition - 76 - lower than most expected, Rum went closest on a guess of 75. Chinatown Detective Agency 72% - Not the banger Mas was hoping for. Cappa knew this as he went perfect with his guess. Nintendo Switch Sports - 73% - Crumpy got this bang on with a guess of 73, a few of us were clsoe and a few of us guessed low 80s on this one. But what of the leader board for this month? - April roundup:
1. Rum - 5 2. Cappa - 13 3. Treesmurf - 15 =4. Muss - 16 =4. Jaster - 16 =6. gjones - 17 =6. CrumpyAndy - 17 8. Balladeer - 18 9. Jimbob - 23 10. Masofdas - 29
Rum was this month's runaway winner on a tiny score of 5. Capp was a distant second on 13, with Smurf just a couple behind. It was a close run thing through to 8th place with just 4 point separating Muss and Jas in 4th from Balla in 8th. Masofdas has a habit of finishing in the top half of the table but had a bit of a mare this time courtesy of Chinatown Detective Agency.
- Overall standings:
1. Treesmurf - 12.22 2. Cappa - 13.22 3. Rum - 13.56 4. Balladeer - 13.78 5. Muss 14.56 6. Masofdas - 15.11 7. JayMoyles - 16.00 8. CrumpyAndy - 17.00 9. gjones - 20.38 10. Jimbob 21.11 11. Jaster 21.25 12. Buskalilly 122.50
Smurf is still atop the table, but Cappa isn't far behind. Rum has shot up the table into the top 3 at the expense of Balla. I stay in the top five courtesy of Masofdas' rough month. Elsewhere things stay pretty stable. Crump Andy scored his exact average and Jay was absent, so no changes there.

| And finally, the games of May are listed below! I feel like this month might be tough to predict as there don't seem to be any super safe bets here.
What do people think of wrapping up the season here and starting anew in June?
Game 1: Trek to Yomi - out May 5th - looks lovely
Game 2 - Evil Dead: The game - out May 13th - looks gory
Game 3 - Sniper Elite V - out May 26th - looks shooty
Game 4 - Kao the Kangaroo - out May 27th - looks bland |

| Least I'm above Andy, that's the main thing. Yeah, season 2 in June sounds good as a Nintendo-centric Gaming Forum, they seem from June having 1 or 2 games a month come out, and goes from Not E3 to Not E3 as well, - May Games:
Trek to Yomi, 90 go big or go home.
Evil Dead, 72 none of these 4v1 games seem to do well critically but this one does look like it is polished more than some.
Sniper, 78 like the last one.
KAO, 72 much like the TY games.

| Stop the count. Unless I'm still first after this month in which case season 2 sounds good. - Spoiler:
Trek to Yomi - 85% Opinions on this so far seem to be more mixed than I'd like them to be but it looks decent and the art style is great so I can see this scoring well.
Evil Dead: The Game - 80% There's often a score ceiling on these multiplayer survival types and this score is probably above that but Sabre have some experience with the genre now and it looks like it draws well from the franchise so a decent score I think.
Sniper Elite V - 78% How many times can you shoot people in the bollocks in slow motion and have it be fun? At least five games worth apparently, I'm. It expecting it to reinvent the wheel in any sort of way so the same score as last time I guess.
Kao the Kangaroo - 77% Ooh old score platformer time again! For some reason 77% just jumped out at me so that's what it will get and if it doesn't I'm holding YOU responsible! Yes you Muss!

So this wasn't far off then. - May I guess better this month:
Trek to Yomi - yeah this'll be alright. 85
Evil Dead: The Game - asymmetric multiplayer huh? With average pedigree. 77
Sniper Elite V - the series seems to have gone good-bad-bad-good. I guess another good one would keep the pattern. 77. Yes again.
Kao the Kangaroo - bog-standard mascot-platforming action. 68

Rum has shot up the table into the top 3 at the expense of Balla. You guys seeing this? Guys? Are you seeing this? Guys? - Time to probably ruin it all:
Trek to Yomi - 74% What is this? I don't know. Bet it's dead average.
Evil Dead: The Game - 78% I know nothing about this game, or this franchise, and to be honest nothing about the developer.
Sniper Elite 5 - 76% This is one of those game series that I've heard of but know absolutely nothing about, hence I'm assuming it'll also be dead average.
Kao the Kangaroo - 69% I can't imagine this is going to be showstopping, but maybe it'll be sexy, so 69 it is.
