Pro tip: 'ADIEU STORY' covers all six vowels and has no overlapping letters.  Or you can go 'SOARE NIGHT LUMPY' for the extreme version.

I feel like that takes away from the fun of it, choosing the same word every time. I just pick whatever comes into my head that has 5 different letters and hope for the best.

Eh, I feel that using a constant starting word in Wordle and two in Dordle gives a level of challenge that I'm happy with. Using 'adieu' to start in Wordle would feel like a bit much, but I reckon that with Dordle it's about the right level of support for me. (Also I play them with a bunch of people on a Discord server and I'm a bit more competitive about it than I'd like to admit. Shifty )

I got it in five without looking it up: confirmation, after all these years, that Buska's more of a champagne socialist than me! Razz

Aye, still playing Wordle everyday, although the group of folk I’d play it with have been falling off of it one by one.

I’m another one who didn’t know what CAULK was. Same goes for TACIT. Never used or said either of those in my life, didn’t know how to even pronounce the second one. They’re not words, let alone working class words.

I’m still starting every game with SKATE, but if that gets me nothing then I’ll somethings punch in MELON, or PYLON. I know someone who uses the word SHAKE, and they had all the luck earlier this week when they solved Wordle in their first go.

Any recommendations for Wordle variants btw?

You never applied sealant in a bathroom before? You must be the queen of France.

TACIT is definitely not a working-class word. It's pretty much legalese Latin, isn't it?

As for variants, I enjoy Dordle. Some of the others feel like they go too far or too wacky. Dordle's one obvious step away and pretty self-explanatory. It's good.

...I'm getting it mixed up with 'tacet', which is a classical music direction. Some Balladeer I am! Duh!
