| Balladeer revives another old NGamer favourite. Still doing exams? Post about them here! Vowed never to take an exam again? Laugh at the first crowd here! But, y'know, in a nice way. I have a three-hour Financial Economics paper tomorrow, and a three-hour Business Economics exam on Monday. They're as fun as they sound. What really annoys me, though, is that they're in the afternoon. By the day of the exam I've done all the work I'm going to do, bar any minor bookwork top-ups, so it's just seven and a half hours of gentle panicking. |

| I've got 5 coming up at the start of May, I prefer afternoon exams as it gives me the morning to panic revise. I do best under pressure. |

| As I didn't do well enough last summer to get my grades, I redid year 13 this year. (Big finger up to Gove)
However I worked hard in January and did some rethinking on uni's ect and managed to succeed in getting my grades in January and therefore left after my results. I start uni in September. |

| Good luck to everyone taking exams!
I've got a couple of three hour Economics exams in a few weeks, then more later. Wish they'd be spread out a bit more, I feel like my brain's going to explode trying to remember everything :-(
I actually prefer afternoon exams despite the constant panicking, as I feel like I've actually woken up by then. |

| I'm a morning person, so it's a double whammy for me. Economics is pretty awful: like a combination of maths and an essay subject of some variety after it's been through the corporate blender. |

| GCSE's are easy and should enjoy it while you can If you plan to do A levels and go to uni, then they don't really mean much once you do those two |

| It's ASes that matter. Those are what the uni. has to look at when you apply to them. - NintenDUCK wrote:

| The way things are going you're going to be on the dole forever, qualifications or not- might as well skip them and enjoy being 15 instead. |

That's quite pessimistic, but not completely wrong. I've got a Honours degree yet find myself working in a pub. I'm completely underemployed - even the bosses have told me that - but I suppose I have to be thankful that I've even got a job at all. Still, I'd rather have qualifications than not, as at least they give me a chance of getting out of there, and at least I'm getting far in interview processes for 'proper' jobs (though obviously not quite far enough!). |

I thought it was optimistic, as I suggested that there's still going to be a dole to be on. |

| Yes, good luck to all those being examined! It's a stressful process, particularly from my side of the fence (I'm a teacher). Make yourselves proud. |

| I've got five exams - my first being two weeks yesterday. I'm pretty worried as it's a fair few exams, more than I've had in one examination diet yet at uni. However, four of those five subjects are outside of my degree and I only need a 40% score to pass. Can't wait for next year when I fully focus on English Literature without anything else to distract me. |

| I have an exam April 30th and an exam May 23rd. However, because they're the last two of my degree, they actually make absolutely no difference to my degree classification because of the weight of the work I've done thus far, meaning I can scrape a pass or get full marks and get exactly the same bit of paper at the end of it. So, I am not stressed. |

EDIT
Is everyone here University educated then (or planning on)?

I've been covering a range of topics, but was unsure (until now) which I'd be examined on. GSL vitamins it is! |

Yes, I went to UMIST (which is now part of the University of Manchester) to do Maths and French. I stayed on for another year for teacher training (more fool me!). |
