| Cheers Balladeer, I don't think it was that important otherwise I wouldn't have complained about it until now. |

| Congratulations everybody! Time really has passed quickly, hasn't it? As for my own personal development, I recently accepted an unconditional offer into a post-graduate course to become a careers guidance practitioner. Looking forward to it! |

| Congratulations Phillips! You can't be any worse than the careers development people at my old school. "You're over-stretching yourself!" No, you'd be over-stretching yourself, you muppet. Ramble ramble rant rant. |

If it's any consolation balla the careers people at my school are excellent(well, above average at least), they got me into a programming course this week! |

| Had another "exam" over the last two days: a two-day residential "business awareness" course that had such delights as the "business game", in which you make a guess as to what the market is going to do and watch as the random number generator defaecates on you, and a very tedious hour-long opening talk that overran by ten minutes. Better than I make it sound, but boy am I glad it's done. (Also, the second day started at 8 this morning and finished at 1740, which is ridiculous.) |

| I don't think it even matters. We're supposed to learn stuff from the course and take it into an online test, but I aced the three practice questions they asked at the end of the second day by using absolutely nothing from the course. Pointless. |

Yea, I wasn't expecting to fail anything but I had thought I'd get more B's than A's. Very pleasantly surprised! |

| I too will vouch for languages and physics! Plus, whatever Phillips and Beemoh may say, the computing jobs market seems opportune enough from my corporate perch. |

| I've always wished I'd done Spanish instead of Physics. I liked the mechanics side of physics but I absolutely loathed waves and light. Also taking the 3 sciences and maths didn't exactly leave me with a lot of variety. |

Yea my careers advisor would agree with you on the computer industry being ripe for the picking. But he has a habit of desuading people from languages because he failed them when he was in school- so the rumours go anyway... - andyman949 wrote:

Why not become a biophysical chemist? It covers all of those! |

| I've tried the Bio side, I didn't get on too well. Now I study Chemistry and the physics side of that is horrible (though mainly due to the dodgy lecturers). |

| First of two bloody 'orrible exams today, on the topic of "Actuarial Risk Management". The course is two ring-binders' worth of material, both of which are needed for both papers, but in the exam proper I just bullshat for three hours. Three horrible hours of not really being able to feel my wrist. And there's another one tomorrow morning. |
