The Last Of Us

So 13 Day's in till Naughty Dog's highly anticipated new franchise launches. So is everyone with a PS3 or even thinking about getting a PS3 just for this Game Of The Contender, getting it.

I've not played the demo myself on PSN, due to knowing it will be good and not wanting to spoil any story of it.

I thought the demo was only for people with God of War Ascension anyway? I'll get this as soon as I can however I've not got the money right now.

Aye, I played the demo earlier (brothers copy) & it was short but sweet, combat is quite meaty but you have to clever or you'll die easily.

Really tempted by this despite what little I've seen but don't think I could dedicate the time to it right now, especially with Animal Crossing on the way.

I'm the same as this comes out one day before Animal Crossing, so I might still get it depending on how rich or poor I am

Same as you jaster, plus it's a game you want on you all the time so download better for animal crossing. I'm getting the ellie edition of last of us.

Started this before, not wowed by the opening as a few tweets had me believing I would be but good none the less and will no doubt get much better I reckon. I can't help but look out for similarities to Uncharted, they're everywhere with the game using the same engine.

But Joel can't jump like Nathan Drake which is the first thing I noticed, he may be old but no jumping?

I found myself comparing to start with but after a couple of hours I dropped it. To me there's near nothing there that's comparable to Uncharted and I loved how different it felt.

I've only gone passed bill, so far so good. I can see a bit of other games in it but what I'm thinking this is from naughty dogs B team what the hell is the A team working on for the PS4 then.

There is no way this was made by a B team, absolutely no way. It's probably one of the best games of the generation and there is just no way this was considered secondary to another project. I know ND are working on 2 projects at a time now but this is simply too good to be a second best kind of game.
If there was another game being made it would obviously be Unkarted.

It was done by there new team, so not the guys whom did uncharted. So might not be the B team might be the A team now lol.

It really is great stuff but I can't help but feel an open world may have made it better in some aspects.

Yep, 3 games and a racing game is Naughty Dogs track record!
I don't think an open world would work as well, the story focused nature makes the linearity work I think. There's still plenty to explore and look for mind.

That's true though I seem to have trouble finding certain collectables, I should have this finished off tomorrow night (Monday) I'm 83 percent done and at one point I thought the game was about to deliver a brave game play twist but it didn't,



Who knows it may still happen.

You can check your completion percentage when you save manually.
I realised yesterday my trophy for completing never popped up. Fortunately I'll definately want to replay so all is not lost.

So I finished this last night & really is good stuff, can't see why folk complain about the ending though as it made perfect sense to me.

Oh and I didn't get that twist btw
