Avatalk (formerly 'Rate an avatar')

I've had a few avatar's but mainly my Sonic 2 one but thought I have a change just before the awards.

Had to be done but I thought I would go for a funny one.

That's probably in contention for the EoY avatar award.

I may of blew it for the award as I've changed.

Quite a nice avatar there's quite a lot going on in it though. 8/10

I wonder, is there room for a general avatar discussion thread?  Or can this one be renamed as such?  I know that some people (Drunka, m'self, Mas) change their avatars, but I don't want to pass judgement on people's avatars necessarily (for example, I think nothing about Spiral's because I'm not a Street Fighter fan); however it would be nice to comment on them, including my own.  

There's also an argument that this could go into the forum sub-forum.  Or if there isn't, I'm making it now.  


Speaking of which, anyway, I'm very happy with my avatar/ranking match.  Hidabat is a hikokomori bat from Yo-Kai Watch, it makes absolute sense that it's SO LONELY.

I've done the change to Ludens as who doesn't love Skeletons in EVA suits from Kojima.

I'm planning to stick with this one a while, but yeah I have gone through phases

This is my first change of avatar on the forum.

In fact, if you count NGamer, it's probably my first change of avatar in 7 years.

I don't like it when people change their avatars because to me their avatar is their face... Changing your face is creepy.

For me it's a mask, what I identify people as and yet also changeable. That said, I do like that Drunka has stuck with this one for a bit. (Jay's and Andy's are also class, albeit Andy's mostly because he's/you're having a laugh at him/yourself.)

I plan to go back to my BSEL "face" at some point in the near future though.  But Hidabat is "totes adorbs", as the tumblrs say.

Ah, but people do frequently change the facial expression!  

It's how I view my avatar at any rate, usually equal parts how I feel at the time, what I think fits me, and whatever I happen to be fanboying over at the time. Take Litten for example, part my fanboying over it, part because it has the air of slight grump and slight arrogance to it (easily the best cat pokemon design ever!)
