GNamer's Secret Santastic Christmas

It depends on who I get, I've got a few ideas for different people.

I'm just going to get whoever a big box of my finest selections from the Snack Thread - Greggs Festive Bake, Medisure Steam Inhaler, Fanny, the works.

It still works fine, doesn't it? 1 buys for 2, 2 for 3, 3 for 4, ..., and n for 1.

I want the gift I buy to be useful and jokey at the same time, but I think I'm going to struggle to get the balance right.

I've picked up a couple of things for my Secret Santa. I've spent about half of the £15 budget, so there's still stuff to be getting.

Next week is annual leave, so I'll do some Santa-hunting at the same time.

I've got some hopefully amusing items, and I'm still waiting for the big item to arrive.
This is tough, though.

Is this going to be a problem? Most people who are posting on the thread are making it clear that they're still getting together their gift, and haven't posted it yet, so Balla and the rest of us could work out who his secret Santa is. Just sayin' y'know...

That's fair. Maybe no more talking about picking up/sending the gifts, only upon receiving? That should be fine, I think...?

Probably best to leave all discussion until the big day- if there's any legit problems ("The post office near me has exploded and I can't send anything", "I bought it home and it was in two bits and returns are taking an age" etc) it's probably best to PM Buska who can either pass the message on to the relevant parties anonymously, post it in the thread or discard the information and make the sufferer look like a terrible person.

Personally, I'd say it's fine to publicly post about receiving gifts as long as nobody mentions whether or not they are sending them. I've also had private messages from people which is helping me keep track of who had sent and received. :silent:
