A thread for "Community" if ever there was one. Post about events GNamers might be interested in coming to, or if you're visiting a GNamer-populated area of the country(/world for Ozzies), and check if anyone's in the slightest bit interested.

Pretext for thread creation: HyperJapan 2013 tickets are on sale now, for anyone in/around London on 26th-28th July. (Sorry everyone else.) Worth going for the 3DS hits and the sake alone. Last time at least two groups of us went and missed each other: shall we try and co-ordinate to make sure that doesn't happen again?

Definitely up for Hyper Japan, it hasn't disappointed thus far.

Did you check the price if you were going today or when Hyper Japan is? There's no way it should be that much if you prebook, still a hefty sum but considerably cheaper.

That's the return price I was given for on the day (of Hyper Japan). It seemed insanely expensive compared to the last time I bought tickets to London about four years ago.

Blimey, I swear it doesn't normally cost me that much to go nearly 2 hours further than London.

Up for Hyper Japan, most likely.

I'll leave that thorny question to Stu. What day are people thinking of going to HyperJapan? I would lean towards the Sunday myself.

StreetPass Manchester's next event is June 29th, 11:30-4:30, in the Kyoto Lounge in Manchester. As before, I would be happy to direct people from Piccadilly train station to the venue - we've been there before and it's a nice walk (but not too far!).

Sadly, that date is actually the day of my thirtieth birthday. Thus I'll be out for the whole weekend. Hopefully there'll be one at the back end of the summer when I can join you.

They're being held every month aren't they? Not had chance to go to any yet though due to working Saturdays.

The solution there, Smurfington, is to get yourself a job at Kyoto Lounge.

For troops north of the border, with a bit of notice beforehand I'd always be up for meeting for a visit to an arcade, a haunt round the retro games shops or even a few jars at the pub.

Perhaps this could be the one chance of playing Jam With The Band with several other players, our synth instruments parping out the credits music to Super Mario 64. Possibly through the dedicated Wii Channel and TV speakers.

The Sunday, whilst it would be more leisurely, would be a) a more difficult day for me to get down early and b) my Mum's birthday (although she will probably contrive to be in France again). My vote goes to Saturday.
