Invertebrate? More Like Inverte-great!

Sorry.  We haven't had one of these silly threads for a while, so let's have one: what are your favourite insects, arachnids, and general arthropods in gaming?  Bonus points for not featuring spider-bosses.  That said:

Also, in terms of insects I hate in games, these fuckers always annoyed me in the Wind Waker.

Has to be the giant moth in RE2 and it's other great bug's in the series.

Or, to be fair, any of the disgusting bug creatures from that game are horrifying. Especially when you imagine them scuttling about in the real world, all the size of dogs.

I actually had a harvestman (or harvestman-like spider) scurrying around my flat today, like an eight-legged version of that.

@The Balls Man; spiders like that are the reason I don't carry a gun. My house would be full of holes. When I have time to calm myself down, I'm nice enough to check them outside instead of killing them. But when they make me jump, they die.

I always feel that that's cruel for animals that, in this country anyway, don't hurt us and keep our houses free of other insects. I'd much rather eliminate the world of clothes moths, the bastards.

I totally agree that it's cruel and I avoid it when I can. But sometimes when one makes me jump, I react on instinct.

I was quite scared of that when I first encountered it but the rule in dark souls is the scarier it looks the easier it probably is to beat.
