I've been thinking about this for a while, but would anyone else e interested in putting together, separate from the forum, a GNAMER website? It might inky get read by the same people who come onto here, but it would look nice and act like a little portfolio for all of us. Plus, it would mean I can keep dinosaurpoems to just poetry.

I think that'd be a great idea. I know nothing about constructing a website though - my blog is hosted through blogspot.

I'd probably just use something similar to the Squarespace thang I gots right now, but if anyone more intelligent wants to take a punt that'd be cool.

I like the idea, but as you can tell by this place: my website-designing skills are behind that of a monkey with a set of GameCube bongos.

(Likewise: if anyone was capable of tarting this place up a bit, I don't think anyone would object to the offer)

Another non-website designer who can get behind this. Question: would this be separate news to the forum, like the Article Comments on CVG-as-was, or just a public repository for our best typing?

There wouldn't be much point us writing news articles or anything like that which is gonna be the same as all the big sites. And if we give it comments it would just get confusing going between there and the forum. I'd say just keep it to major writes.

Yup, can completely get behind that. Maybe it would inspire a few more chappies of the Forum Fiction too? (Hey, a chap can dream...)

Right, if nobody else wants to I'll have a go at putting a site together this weekend and then ill give the password to any of the existing GNamer crew who wants it.

So wait what are we doing, making a website but what we going to post reviews of Thomas Was Alone from 6 of us.

We'll post whatever we feel like writing. Don't write because you feel like you need to fill a gap, but if you play something and want to share how you feel or if you have a thought you want to explore, write it down.

But why wouldn't I just post here if I'm playing monster hunter 4 for instance, why wouldn't I just go in that thread and post there.

We just want to write stuff about games and leave it somewhere it looks good and people can read it. If you just have a bit to say about a game you'd still put it in the thread but if you'd written a whole article you might want to put it somewhere you can show it off a little easier.

Okay that makes more sense like my very long bit on pier solar in the eShop thread. Also I guess you could link stuff to it like the release thread or the podcast.

The podcast is a definite yes, and I might copy stuff like my roboshoots article onto there.

Going to put me my 5k up there. My 10k too, probably (whatever that is).
