I mean, it was coming from a million miles away, but being an older brother myself, having to play as the little boy by himself trying to make his way back home was genuinely upsetting. You felt the loss of the older lad in the game mechanics too. Jesus, what a harrowing ending that was. I don't think I could replay it - it hit me hard.

Maybe it's just older brother syndrome, but I think my younger brother would probably just shrug it off if he was to play it himself.

I refuse to play it now I know what happens! I'm becoming more of a wuss.
Just saw my mum get to the end of Rime. That's a sad'n. I've seen the ending a few times now. She accidentally "Shared" the credits sequence on Facebook. Which I guess makes it a bit funny...

After Madeline and Badeline decide to work together in Chapter 6, there's a few screens in Chapter 7 before they do a combo move that shoots them far higher up the mountain. By combining their powers they're literally soaring through the sky, reaching heights that neither could alone. There's some dialogue where Madeline has become the strong one and Badeline the fragile and reluctant one... how far you've come, wonderful red-haired lady. I've cried again, just writing this out.
Very moving indeed. All those bits when you know who acts you know how. I didn't well up, but then again I am a cold hard machine of logic. Beep boop.
