The first of the three songs is up! It's Zero's idea: the first level of Bounce! Bounce! Bounce!, a platformer starring a constantly bouncing rabbit (an idea that has never been tried before). More description in the comment below the piece.
Expect another one in two weeks, when I've had a chance to edit it.

That sounds like an early area or a hub world to me.

Lovely stuff Balla - I can easily imagine that playing in World 1 of Bounce Bounce Bunny when it launches.

That's brilliant. A mighty fine way to fulfil the brief, it properly bounces along like nobody's business. Well done and thank you!

Thank you lovely people! I hope the next two satiate your ear-tastebuds as effectively!
Just a small note: much better listened to through headphones. I just tried it out on my computer speakers, and the lower end was a bit too powerful.

Time for the second! This one's Jay's, and I did eventually manage to get some chiptune sounds. I think it's some sort of suffering-resurrection-boss music. Hope y'all like it!

Massive thumbs up, sir! It starts off sounding like a sleepy RPG town theme before ramping up spectacularly. Maybe you end up fighting the defender of the sleepy town or something along those lines. Top work!

That is top stuff! Some of the trills (technical term, I'm sure ) reminded me of Zelda themes. Nice build-up to the epic, as well.

Thank you gentlemen! It's been a pleasure thus far. (I think they're "runs", "trills" are going back and forth between the same two notes.) Expect a drunken tune before the end of the month!

Drunken tunes are here!
Did I say tunes? Er, yes. Because I misinterpreted the request first time around. So here's the one I didn't get quite right, which is a lava boss fight that I still think is pretty good; and here's the one where I actually understood the request, which is a pumping fauxriental fighting game tune.
Thanks gents, it's been a pleasure!

Bangers, yet again! I could hear that lava one coming from a later level in the same game as Jay's.

That... is quite the compliment. Great thanks Mr. Bob (and also to Drunka, there was a little bit of Undertale's CORE fire level in the synths, UT of course verging on chiptune at times).

Great work once again from the ballads-man (or is that balls-man?) I could definitely picture the bamboo one in something like Strider or Shinobi.

Again, thank you! Hearing that my tunes could actually come out of actual games is another great compliment. You're all so nice.

It's probably down to the instruments used in the Bamboo piece, but it really reminded me of Ibuki's theme from Street Fighter III, which is no bad thing. Of course, yours is far more up-tempo and I actually preferred your piece to that Street Fighter track, so props once again, Balla!

Is it OK to like the 'wrong' one more than the 'right' one? Not that I dislike either of them - they're both mighty fine! - but the first one has a bit more to it to get the blood pumping.

Not at all, I actually spent more time on that one; then had not much of a month left to cook up the "right" one, so it felt a bit by-the-numbers even to me (but still good).
The reason I didn't reply to Jay's post originally was that I don't like that Ibuki piece , but I am glad you prefer mine!

Been a bloody age, hasn't it? I did another music, and it's genuinely my favourite I've done to date - at the same time as being a pain in the proverbial to actually compose. It's called "Fight!! Neon City" and if you want to skip the second iteration of the loop it's 3:48 to 7:23. Hope you enjoy!
(DIGRESSION ALERT: was Jas' post in this thread the first version of 'Balls Man' to make the forum? Surely not, right? )

I really like that, it has a lot of momentum.
If you did a bit of social media and promoted yourself, I'm sure an Indie game somewhere would love to get you involved.
BTW, I'm 99.9% sure I coined the Balls Man, but I have no idea where or when.

That's what I'd assume, but the way Jas phrases it here suggests he hasn't seen it before?
Anyway: thanks sir, that's really kind of you to say! I know I'm hopeless at self-promotion, and it doesn't help that I've now rejected Twitter and have never been on Instagram. This one I'm plugging a bit more in various places because it's easily the best of the five pieces on my Soundcloud IMO. I don't know if I'd be able to dedicate my time to an indie game (this one piece took two months on-off (mostly off)), but if anybody ever wanted me to, I'm damn sure I'd give it a go!
