- I think you are spot with this being the start of big handheld titles finding a home on the Switch, I think the variety of games that are possible with a hybrid machine will start to become apparent this year with titles like this at one end and dark souls/wolfenstein at the other!
So I stole his/Zero's point and made a topic about it. We're getting TWEWY, and Capcom have all but confirmed we'll see Ace Attorney down the line. What other handheld games/series should make it to the Switch? As I said in the other thread, the portable game I want to see above all others is METEOS Ghost Trick 2. I think there's lots of potential in that idea, although they'd probably need a new cast to do it justice. (Inb4 Jay and Mother 3.)

| I've definitely fallen back to believing the 3DS should survive as a handheld since playing Ever Oasis and Layton, so my answer is nothing. |

| I'd say 'Inazuma Eleven' if it hadn't already been confirmed. The next game down my list would be Layton, if only to get the lively and lovely Katrielle on the big screen. Also, Andy definitely has a point. |

| Yeah with Andy on this one, don't see the point in wanting just a portable only game when the beauty of the system is you can play any game however you like. |

| I suppose it would be to have it on the big screen and marvel at the detail? Definitely looking forward to Pokémon Switch for that very reason. |

| Ahh maybe I've misunderstood this a little then as I've played eshop games that suit handheld play on my telly plenty of times for that same reason. |

| I'm with Jas and Andy in denying the premise entirely. There are plenty of games I might prefer in a portable format; puzzles and arcadey games I can dip in and out, big exploration-y games that are nice to have available at all times, but someone else might have a different opinion.
As for the likes of Ace Attorney and TWEWY, I don't see anything specifically portable about either of them other than that being where they started out. A big, beautiful JRPG deserves the nice TV experience, and don't tell me you wouldn't want to sit down with the lights off and sound up for a cinematic courtroom masterpiece.
The actual game could sound like this! |

| Bugger it, I've clearly mucked up the headline to an extent that Zero's clarification doesn't work. Quick second clarification: I'm talking about games that have previously been resigned to portables, whatever their style. Then they come to Switch and you can play them on the go or on the big screen, like TWEWY. |

| Oh, well, the obvious ones are either taken or happening: Ghost Trick, TWEWY and Ace Attorney.
The only other one for me would be Advance Wars. I just really want a new Advance Wars, and Switch is the Nintendo machine now so there ya go. |

| It is time for Advance Wars to come back, I agree. If only Fire Emblem hadn't exploded in popularity and come to monopolise Intelligent Systems's time...

| http://store.steampowered.com/app/379980/Panzermadels_Tank_Dating_Simulator/ ... Here are some of mine that haven't been mentioned (and yes I would bloody love AA in TV-o-vision*): - Andy mentioned Ever Oasis. I'd double dip on Switch. 'The most charming game you've never played', I keep calling it.
- 2D Zelda. Let's face it, blokes, main game 2D Zelda (so not FSA-style spin-offs) has been a handheld purview ever since Link's Awakening. Don't tell me you don't want that on Switch, Zero. Nobody likes a liar.
- Another Zero favourite: Bravely Third. Until I start talking it up, that is...
- KIU, like we've all already said dozens of times before. Dual analogue controls and that.
- Mario & Luigi. With Paper Mario a lost cause, this is the way we'll get our Mario RPG fix.
- Metroid Fusion Returns. Never finished it on GBA/VC, please bring it to Switch in the style of MSR thank you.
- Actual proper decent good picross.
*Yes yes, I know, television-o-vision. |

| I know there was some misunderstanding but Switch does have handheld only, motion control only and console only games already and I've been saying since the Switch was the NX that the hybrid would nature would see Pokemon etc come over to it. That I can't see why any other what was a handheld game can come over such as this one hinted: However my choice is: |

They did use to make some excellent games also I would make the game that it has to be played both handheld and console mode, where you get solar energy from playing on the go and then you can use it when you come back to the game with maybe a day night cycle around the two modes of play. I also thought of something else |

I would love a lavish, high-def 2D Zelda. That said, I'd also be happy with Four Swords-esque multiplayer hijinks. - The Balls Man wrote:

Have some faith! This isn't Wii U-era Nintendo any more, there is hope for a real legit Papes Mazza. |

| On 2D Zelda's been lot's of rumours about either ALBW getting ported to Switch or a remake of Link's Awakening but no ones sure if that's for Switch, 3DS or even both.
The Snack World: Trejarers is coming to Switch from 3DS/Mobile from Level-5, hopefully this means we could see a western release. |

My memories of the GS series are NGC complaining about the frequency of the random battles, and the DS version being beautiful but rubbish. If they're bringing it back, they need to have a look at series such as Bravely Default before they do. - Drunkalilly wrote:

Have some faith! This isn't Wii U-era Nintendo any more, there is hope for a real legit Papes Mazza. At least one of the recent problems (using only characters that have appeared previously in other Mario games) has come from Grand Lord Shigsy Himself! So I don't know. I'm not a man of faith, I think I'll need some evidence first for this one. - ZeroJones wrote:
- Four Swords!
How could I forget that sneaky gaming treat? Local and online co-op for a hugely sprawling adventure, please. I don't count this as a portable-only series, because of the joyous FSA... that said, I would love the chance to play this with my sister over the Internet! |

| Thinking about the above... I think Four Swords is a good shout - FSA was too complicated to get working (especially if someone sneezed and a GBA lost connection). SOme kind of multiplayer Zelda anyway.
Failing that... Ocarina of Time 3D [trollface][/trollface] |
