I'm sure the reviews all did that in the text, which the score then reflected in an overall sense. Hence why you should read reviews and not get hung up on scores.

Random thought:
I hate the leak culture we have around games right now & even worse is folk seem to be fine with it, feels like there's going to be no surprises left for E3 therefor I'm going to say the whole thing will be pish.

It's been really brutal this year. I'm just glad nothing's popped up about Smash Switch - nothing believable, at least - as that's the game I'm most excited to see at E3.

I'm not that bothered about leaks as I don't know what X game will actually look like and I still feel we will get some surprises along the way.

I hate it. I actually enjoy the fun of, say, a Nintendo Direct or a Nintendo Reveal Trailer. Seeing a game for the first time in some shitty screengrab on some loser's tweet just doesn't have the fun factor.
People defend it like it's some big matter of journalistic integrity, but this isn't bloody Watergate. Nobody's getting any real benefit from finding out this stuff, it's just getting you a few extra clicks at the expense of everyone having a nice, fun time.
All the people who then jump in with their shitey hot take as well, just making it harder and harder to not see this stuff.
Cunts, the lot of them. After a two week clean break, I'm actually not really feeling the need to look on twitter and facebook at all. My life is loads better without it.

More than likely would be better avoiding social media but just thinking most things I like have it similar be it wrestling with the backstage going ons, transfer talk in football and films as I've seen a picture of some members of the cast of Avengers 4.
Maybe why I'm more used to the whole leak culture in gaming, also look at how Bethesda has handled it and I'm actually excited about Rage 2 and to watch there conference at E3.

I'm of the same thinking as Buskalilly, but if a game gets leaked and I haven't avoided it, I'll try to be like masofdas there. This leak culture is keech though.

Not much to say on it that's not been said, I think. Leakers are, I presume, the same bunch of grade-a vaginas that go 'First!' on YouTube videos, only with even more emphasis on ruining people's fun.
Happily I've only seen one Switch game so far (that I can remember), and one I couldn't give about at that.

I think grade - a vaginas is the worst insult I've ever seen. They sound fantastic.

Without getting too graphic, that's a whole lot of dribbling, a tendency to bleed horribly once a month, and a society that pretends they don't exist apart from on the Internet.

I like vaginas a lot. I think I should endeavour to talk about them more, on the internet or otherwise.

Largely apathetic towards it all myself, although that's probably more about me miraculously avoiding most spoilers.
Think drunkas point re hot takes leaks are bang on mind; vaginas are bang on too.

It's way past that point of "just avoid using it" though because a leak can happen at any time which means I would have to not use twitter at all to fully avoid these leaks & I don't want to do that.

I'm alright with people sharing spoilers within stories or videos so you can choose to find out but annoyingly the clickbait usually gives it all away, those people are real grade-Z vaginas.

Playing Hollow Knight, I've genuinely found myself missing the Wii U Gamepad or the second DS screen showing a map. I know everybody said it wasn't a great revolutionary use of the second screen, and it wasn't, but it was bloody useful. Not all good things are game-changers.

It's a great feature for Metroidvanias to be able to glance at another screen and know where you're going rather than pausing the action to squint at a map screen, but at least Hollow Knight alleviates that somewhat by allowing you to move with the map out, which is neat.

It's amusing that you use Hollow Knight to bring this up, as while I agree with your sentiment I actually think that's a game which handles it better than most.
Also, I really do like vaginas.

It doesn't handle it badly, not at all. Would still be better with it on its own screen though.

I'm surprised devs haven't continued it for smart devices.

Speaking of smart devices, anyone remember a few years back where a lot of AAA releases launched with companion apps? I distinctly remember apps for Fallout 4 and I'm sure Assassin's Creed had one too.

The one time I remember really liking a companion app was with Mass Effect 3. The space strategy stuff I could take or leave, but the way I could read my codex entries on my phone at lunch after I unlocked them in the game was brilliant. I never feel like stopping and reading all that stuff in the middle of a game, but for something like The Witcher III I'd have been well up for reading it all through an app.
I know all of it's on wikis and stuff, but I like it unlocking alongside my game progress.

That's really cool actually and would work in a lot of RPGs that squirrel away lore or descriptions in wordy menus like that. Something similar would work a treat in The Elder Scrolls for all the books you pick up, too.
