I hit up Rezzed with Muss and EGX with Mas. I also went to a board game one with my family, which was pretty cool.

And I went to Game Party Japan, which is where I saw Off the Hook and the Squid Sisters. Thumbs Up!

Does the recent 'Power UP' event at the Science Museum count?  It was half-exhibition half-event, with multiplayer games and a whole host of basically every machine through history.  Here's a picture of me at it.

Failing that, HyperJapan has gaming bits to it, but not really no.

All are acceptable answers, Balla, I was even going to say StreetPass at a higher level like that time I went to the bar which Nintendo paid for drinks and food whilst we played a Pokemon tournament.

Just one of those 3ds launch events for me, it would be nice to plan out a visit to a proper one at some point.

Ooh, I went to a gaming museum exhibit much like the one Balla was referencing further up. Lots of fun, that one.

I've not been to a dedicated gaming exhibition - I do think we should centre our next forum meetup around an expo of some next time round.

I too have been to 2 Rezzeds and a big-o-EGX, with my best bud, my other best bud and my first best bud's wife, and my sister. I think I prefer the Rezzeds over the big ones, as it's a bit crowded and generic; but my mate doesn't like travelling to London, which is where they are now.

The best thing about rezzed was being able to have a chat with the developers at some of the less busy booths. There was a very pleasant atmosphere there when I went and I'd definitely like to try going to the next one if I have the money and time.

I've not updated this for a few weeks and I do like to keep it on topic and seeing the World Cup, Wimbledon are on let's talk sports and what sporting events have you been to?

Myself have mainly been to football matches be it local like Exeter City but have been to Pride Park to see Derby County which if EofGiz comes on here will tell you they're my team, not Man City as I've seen Derby like 7 times compared to 0 for City.

My Dad supports Derby and them being in the Championship has made it easy to go see them play Bristol, Yeovil that one time etc and that time to Pride Park four of us went for a 3 pm game where for City tickets are hard to get and would only likely be and my Dad going that it ends up costing a lot of money to go to Manchester.

Apart from Football, I've seen wrestling and not just that UK indie promotion with "Kane" but WWE once with Drunka & Muss for NXT and some mates in work in Cardiff for WWE Live where I met Paige and Wade Barrett.

Now some weird one as from my mother side I have seen showjumping and been to Crufts which I wouldn't say is a sport but comes up as a competitive event.

I would like to see City play and would also like to see Celtic which I think would actually be more likely as if I were to see them it be like a holiday to Scotland compared to just a day in Manchester. That would be the much the same for when I go to Japan that I would see a baseball game like Drunka did or go see some New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

Of course, they're other things like I would love to go to an NFL game in London and I would go to the Cricket or to see Exeter Chiefs if others were going.

I'm surprised you've not been up to see City, mas. I saw them this season at Wembley against Spurs, and also at White Hart Lane when we beat your lot 3-2. Interesting story there - when we scored our first I had some idiot a few rows behind me jump on my head which gave me a fat lip. When the second goal went in I moved to the side (expecting him to do it again) and he went flying down a further 3 rows and smashed his face on the back of a seat Duh! He was escorted out by a medical team - blood everywhere. He returned in the second half and when the third goal went in, I turned around and looked at him. He basically said "not doing that again!" .

I go up to watch Tottenham a couple of times a season - Chelsea and City were the games this past season and we lost both Sad Have been to a couple of away games at Manchester United and Birmingham City but would like to visit more as the atmosphere is great. Other than that, I have been to a few grounds like Leyton Orient, Gillingham, Chelsea (where I sat in the home section against Tottenham - thankfully it was 0-0!)... My local team is Dover Athletic who I've seen a number of times - most recently when they had a good FA Cup run and beat Aldershot and Gillingham.

Other than that, I've seen TNA and WWE when they have been over. The WWE show was the episode of Raw when R-Truth lit up a cigarette and we started chanting "That's Illegal!". I'm not really interested in other sports although I'd like to go and watch the snooker some day.

I'm at a football game most weekends, and I try to go to different grounds. Last season, I was at games in the four divisions of the SPFL, as well as in the Lowland League, Highland League and the West, East and North divisions of the Scottish Junior Football Association, as well as a handful of of amateur games too. I'm back living in the central belt after being up in Aberdeen for three years, so I'm looking forward to getting to more Clyde games - that's who I support.

Otherwise, I've been to rugby, cricket, shinty, hockey and a few others. Royal Troon golf course is only about three miles from where I grew up too, so I've seen The Open Championship.

I might try to see City this season gJones but when we looked last season it was something like £400 as we could only get a midweek game against Burnley or someone as only the hospitality tickets were all that were on sell they were expensive, then as it was a midweek game we would likely had to stay up there etc

Dad was happy to pay for it but I just thought £400 was way too much for 90mins of football, I've spoken to some Liverpool fans in work that don't go often and they spent something £500 or 600 which is just ridiculous the last time then went again as it was the stadium tour etc.

If I could just buy a ticket for £50 and go 3 pm on a Saturday then I would go but really should be more like Cappa and go to Exeter City but like with the cricket or rugby it's finding people who want to go.

Yeah I pay £40 a year for membership, and then pick up tickets for £30-50 as and when I can make a game. Being at Wembley, the prices were lower than usual for most Premier League games so that they could fill the ground. It's usually a £100 day out when the travel and food/drink is factored in, so I'd usually meet a friend in the morning, have a full English and drink until the game, grab a burger after the game. It's a shame it's so expensive but I guess they are high demand.

It sure is and annoying that it's like you've not been to a game before, sure you can still come but only if you pay for the posh day out section. I should look if they have a similar membership thing which might help.

Away games would be easier for travel costs but likes Bournemouth only holds 10,000 odd people that I don't think much luck getting a ticket there.

I've been to my fair share of Wrestling and Football. As well as the NXT show I attended with Mas, I've been to Butlins for a house show, another house show, two RAWs and a Smackdown. At my first RAW, my friends attest that I screamed so hard when Dean Ambrose came out that my head turned purple Smile

As for the football, I attended a few Bristol City games with the lads and also followed my friend Rich to some Wigan games- most notably an FA Cup semi against Arsenal, to which I wore my Spurs scarf. Finally, just before flying to Japan, I took my mum to see Spurs/ Everton at Wembley as her Christmas present.

As Mas mentioned, I went to a Baseball game in Tokyo. I'm planning to hit up at least one NJPW show, obviosuly, and also hopefully some football matches. It's also the Rugby World Cup next year, so I'd like to hit that.

Other than that . . . maybe some Equestrian stuff with my ex, and her brothers and cousins' motorsports.

The last SPORTS I watched was Varsity Ice Hockey, where Nottingham University lost out to Nottingham Trent 4-2 in a game where Nottingham Uni led twice. It was good fun, there was a fight on the ice, and I'd like to watch the Nottingham professional team next year.

I had a ticket to the London Olympics, which meant I got to watch the track and field events in one of the early days of the tournament. Got to see Mr Bolt do his theatrics and then effortlessly rinse the rest of the field in a 200m heat, as well as a Chinese Hurdler knock over almost all his hurdles, and one in another guy's lane. The biggest cheer of the day came for a woman in one of the distances races. She finished massively off the pace, but rapturous applause followed her around the stadium on her final lap, which was really nice to witness and not something the T.V. would have picked up on. We stayed around the Olympic Park for the rest of the day after our ticketed events ended, so I was sat on a field outside the Velodrome watching the British cyclists smash it.

I've seen a fair bit of wrestling, plenty of Bath City football matches - although the last one I went to was a couple of years ago now. Seen Bristol Rovers/City and Yeovil Town a few times too, and I was a big Michael Owen fan when I was little so my dad got me a ticket to the 2000 Worthington Cup final where Liverpool beat Birmingham City at the Millennium Stadium. I've been taken to Rugby, Cricket, and Motorbike races in the past, as well as a Demolition Derby which was obviously the best thing ever.

The most SPORTS I attended in a single year was when I was Stateside at LSU in 2012 though. I had a season ticket for LSU's American football team, which was incredible. I also went to Houston to see the NFL's Texans take on the Ravens. I had a basketball pass too which meant I could watch LSU's hilariously tall, lanky, and untalented Del Piero every week, as the tall lad who got signed because the coach saw him in the marching band, pretended he knew what he was doing. I also went to Toronto that year and surprisingly saw the then shitty Raptors crush the Kings, and because the Raptors scored over 100 points I got free pizza the following day, which I ate before joining in with a protest on behalf of the rights of indigenous Canadians in the centre of Toronto.

I've been to a couple of football games for Dunfermline - one was a mighty 5-0 win over Dundee to lift us from the bottom of the table and swap places with Dundee. Another was our crushing defeat to FC Hafnarfjordur, a team of Icelandic fishermen. I was also in attendance for our 3-1 drubbing in the cup final to Celtic in 2004 which is probably best known for being Henrik Larsson's last proper game for Celtic.

I've been to a few rugby games at Murrayfield too with it being a bit closer to me.

I need to get myself over to a wrestling show at some point - Wrestle Kingdom would be a dream for me.

Colour me surprised! How did you find it sir? Didn't think there was much interest at all in cricket in Scotland (although they recently smashed England, which is always good for support in any sport).

Anyway, this remains the one sport I've been to, and not all that much: once to the short, three-hour form with work, and once to a day of the four-day game with a couple of friends. I can't say I enjoy watching sports much, not even cricket: feels like there are better things I could be doing. However it is a good excuse for a day-long picnic. I was very full of food and drink by the end. Sick

Have you not been to any wrestling at all Jay? Man, get yourself down to anything you can, even if it's a house show by a local indie outfit. There's nothing like being in the crowd, feeling that exchange of energy between you and the performers. Wrestling is a different beast entirely if you're live compared to watching it on the television. You are, after all, the third character (fourth if you count the ref).

I second this & I'd even go as far as to say that a show that might have seemed mediocre on TV was probably enjoyed more by the folk who were there live.

----

I've obviously been to plenty of Celtic games over the years, though I haven't been to one since Brendan Rodgers became manager (I'll try to get to one this upcoming season) & I've also been to a fair few ICW wrestling shows along with more local ones by PBW where one time I actually got to meet and shake the hand of Mark Dallas. (the owner of ICW)

Thumbs Up!

We need to get Jay down to Butlins so he can behold the WWE House Show, followed by that absolute pantomime it's-a'knock-out wrestling lunacy.

I've been to the Vic 3 times, from 2003, when I saw a goal scored by a little fella from our youth team called Ashley Young. Whatever happened to him?
Technically the MK Dons are 5 minutes away, but given that I pre-date them, I have no loyalty to them - I sat in the away end for Watford's pre-season friendly.

I did also, like Muss, get to go to the Olympics, and we all went mad-crazy cheering Becky Adlington in the heats. Which we discovered meant that the pressure got to her and she had trouble in the final. Er... sorry. I also got 3 lots of Paralympics tickets, including the horsies (I'll be honest and say that Equestrian events aren't really my thing, but you can't help get involved) and Aled Davies doing a win.

I also went to a couple of ice hockey games as a kid, having played NHLPA'93 on the SNES.
