I don't care if it's boring, we're British (most of us). We talk about the weather. It's what we do. (Also Athrun moans about the sun as much as any of us, so...)
I'd like to kick this off by posting this summer's theme:
It's starting up again, the heatwave. I barely slept in the first wave. F**k all of this.

A bit of a rain coupled with temperatures in the high teens and low twenties up here, so no complaints for me. I'd be suffering if I was London-based myself, though.

It was sweaty bollocks all round here in the south east of Scotland throughout May, June and most of July. I loved it! That's probably the best weather I've seen in my life (I'm 99).
It's cooled down a lot over the last week-and-a-bit though, it's back down to about 15oC. We've had rain every day for the last week too, which is fine, if it's February. But it's not, it's August, so bugger that. Looking out of the window the now, it's a very dull and grey sky - no chance of a heatwave here. I hope we get at least a couple more weeks of decent weather, and then I'll be ready to 'treasure' the bitterly-cold embrace of a shitey Scottish winter.

That's fine, you can have those few days in March where I couldn't leave my house because of the snow in return.

That snow at the arse-end of February and into March was the worst weather I'd seen in my life (I'm was 99). I was stuck in for four days with no decent scran, no TV signal and very shaky internet. I got fired into a lot of whisky, ate porridge four times a day and played loads of Bayonetta though, so it's a good memory.
It's just really dark here now. 9pm, and I've got the big light on. What a load of bollocks.

Aye, I took a walk to the shop and thought "fuck that, I'm not leaving the house again". I did for a bit to clear the drive, but it was mostly spent powering through some games and TV.

...maybe not that trade precisely then.
Yay, encroaching evening darkness! Love it. Less keen on the humidity though.

Now this is more like it. After a day's rainfall, a nice day of sunshine with moderate heat (high of 22). Nice spring weather. I love spring.

That's the summer knackered here. I saw frost on the grass yesterday, a bit of brown on a tree the day before, and I can see my breath in the air in my freezing-cold flat. It was only last month that we were cutting about in 30 degree heat
Autumn is meant to start at the end of September, but in Scotland it usually starts in August, and lasts about thirteen minutes, before we go full-pelt into winter. I best slip this tune in here in case I blink and miss it.

Aye, August tends to be when it all goes tits up. I don't mind the cooler months, but it descends into properly miserable weather much too quickly up here.

Sorry to read that Cappa. In London it's a nice 20-odd, which is pretty much ideal for me.
That's a top tune too.

A'right Mr. Expat Smartydrawers, what's proper Japanese weather like then? All sweat all the time?

Japan has properly distinct seasons. I had solid months of sweating buckets and burning, we had torrential rains, I recently had to contend with a typhoon that cancelled my girlfriend's flights and trapped her on a train for 22 hours. Now we're into Autumn, which should be pretty, and then I'll get my first taste of proper rural winter. Snow and that!

It's a driehct day here, with the street lamps on, the rain travelling horizontally and the wind skelping what's left of summer off of the trees. It's battering the side of my office, and it's a thoroughly shite day to have forgotten my waterproofs.

We had a tree fall over and block the road into our car park at work. Fortunately, it didn't interfere with me having to leave work, but I would have been livid at Storm Bawjaw or whatever it's called if I had.

I quite like the wind, apart from when it blows through my workweek room's window and makes the skirting boards buzz like a large angry mosquito with a complex.

We had snow yesterday. I keep telling myself that it's winter and it should be cold and that's a good thing, and anyway it means I get to dress in big warm coats and fluffy scarves. My eczema respectfully disagrees.
Mind you, then I think of you poor sods up in Scotland and I feel a bit better.
