| There was meant to be a big old storm in London today too. Emphasis on 'meant to'. Instead the humidity ramped up and didn't go anywhere. Last night was one of the hardest nights to sleep too.
Oh, and - what I said earlier about being fine to walk? Nah. Not now, not like this. I'd die in Japan. No wonder your recent goal's been to get fit Buska: I can only imagine each ounce of fat resulting in an ounce of sweat per minute. |

I'm pretty sure I was subject to the same storm and I started off feeling the much the same as you did - I spent a good bit of time looking out the window at the most stormy sky I think I've ever seen in my life. But then... THE FLOOD. Water began gushing up through my kitchen sink with no end in sight and with it came effluent and muck. Then, I spotted water dripping from kitchen ceiling and came upstairs to see the same thing happening in my bathroom with my bath and sink. I panicked as you'd expect. Fortunately it stopped and eventually drained leaving me with a muck covered kitchen and bathroom. I've since cleaned it up, calmed down and been in touch with a plumber and the water board to avoid this happening again, but this is yet another sign that 2020 can fuck off already. |

| When I saw that a major incident had been called in Fife I wondered if you were all right over on the west of the county. That's really unfortunate to read that you were flooded - well done on getting things sorted, but hopefully your damage can be covered by insurance and that nothing's irreplaceable.
The central belt and east coast has had it's arse kicked by the weather overnight - there's stories of air traffic control centres and airports closing, schools being unable to open for their first day back, and of course the tragic train derailment that happened south of Stonehaven this morning.
Indeed, 2020 can fuck off already. |

| Yep - went from jolly "oh wow, look at that stormy sky teehee" to "AW GOD AW FUCK AW WHAT" panic. I genuinely had to sit and calm myself down for an hour or so after I'd scrubbed the worst of the muck away.
@Cappa - fortunately, no clear damage that I've seen as of yet, but I'll keep an eye on the kitchen roof. |

Sorry to have been very much the former when you were dealing with the latter! I saw some of the photos from places like Kirkcaldy and the extent of the flooding was unbelievable. Hope there's no permanent damage to yer hoose! |

| - Happy rain talk:
We had rain! ย I hope this isn't being insensitive to anyone in Scotland who's had rather too much rain, but it was chuffing delightful down here. ย A cool max of 29 today!

| Cappa’s/you’re one of the people where I often can’t tell if you’re being serious or not, but I’ll put it in a spoiler for if it’s genuine (and sorry). |

| Wow, that's rough Jay.
So anyway, what are everyone's favourite floods in videogames? For me its in Bioshock when Rapture gets fucked up. |

| Hopefully everyone's not suffering from the onset of autumn, but I have to say I'm loving it. It's gloomy! And grey! And rainy! I feel like I'm still hissing after the blaze that was summer. 36ยบ! Ludicrous. This is great. |

| It's quite therapeutic when it rains here, the water trickles down the guttering like a gentle river. We've almost got floor to ceiling windows too so you luckily we're still getting a good amount of light in even when it's miserable.
That's one of the things that we never really got in my old flat, which was ground floor and adjacent to a car park. |

| I love Autumn, but I think for very different reasons to the Balls Man We had a bit of rain for monsoon season but nothing reached us up here in the mountains, unlike last year. Now we're into the period when all the trees change colours to a gorgeous firelike mix of red, yellow, orange and green, but the weather is still warm enough to hike in shorts and a t-shirt. My absolute fave. |

| The trees are looking pretty here too (not that I see many in central London...), but I can't imagine they measure up! Definitely not warm enough to go for a walk in shorts and a t-shirt though. Got a big old warm top on and I'm cosy. |

| My favourite weather for mountains is a little cloudy and hazey, it puts into perspective how big they are and how high up you are, and it can make them all look like old paintings. |

| That was one of the nice things about driving into Wells from where I lived. A misty morning, Wells covered in a deep fog with Glastonbury Tor and a few hills poking out the top.
Pales in comparison to other places for sure though. |
