Untitled Goose Game (Have a Gander at This)

Guilty! Also I had too much fun just simply honking with the glass bottle on my beak & then getting more than my 15 minutes of fame on the wee shops TV screens.

As soon as I seen the boy fear me I knew I wanted to crush his spirit, does that make me a bad person? It makes a good Goose at least.

I felt bad for him.  I'm so glad I didn't go to school with any of you.

I did however find the level after that hilarious. 

Look, I don't condone bullying at all and I would 100% be running in terror if a horrible goose was chasing me, but I couldn't help untie his shoes and chase him into the puddle before stealing his glasses and replacing them with some shades. It's too funny.

I'm still annoying the farmer, though I have only just started the game really

There's a bit near the end (and the entire ending set-piece is fantastic) where he thoroughly deserves what he gets and that is glorious.

Finished this up the other day and it was an absolute joy to play something genuinely different from everything else that comes out.

Me and Shen both played through this to completion this weekend. A delightful, fun, unique game, but I think this was my Celeste. I saw and heard too much before I played it, and it just didn't make me laugh the way it seems to have done for some.

Very glad I played it. Particularly having not set foot in the UK for so long.

That is a darn shame. I can see why it might happen though. Also I'm not entirely sure whether it would align with your sense of humour Drunka. (Did we manage to make anyone fed up with Celeste? I thought everyone who played it still loved it, despite my/our gushing.) I'm glad you enjoyed it, regardless, and even gladder that Jas loved it.

I'm happy to say it's my Celeste though, in that I'm still delighted with it a good few days after finishing it. HONK HONK HONK

I love Mr Bean, this is very much my sense of humour, I'd just seen and/ or heard about most of it in advance. I am enjoying messing with folks with less clear objectives now, although my brain can't ignore the challenge of those speedruns . . .

Stealing an affiliate idea: would people like to see the goose in DLC, and if so where should it go? Christmas? Space? Or was the ending perfect as it was? (It was perfect, natch: the only question is whether the game should therefore officially finish there forever.)

I reckon the game's too successful for them not to dabble with the goose again in some shape or form. But then again, would the joke still be funny if there was more of it?

I don't know, it might outstay its welcome a second time. But I can't believe how widespread it's become - it even became a reference on David Squires' Football Column in the Guardian (this is generally ace, by the way).

Christmas version and you have to the town folks from turning you into dinner.

This would work. They wouldn't even have to change much - add Christmas decorations and give us a new checklist of objectives and I'd be happy.

You're probably right. Another idea I saw on GRcade was 'goose invades a cruise ship' which I think would be great.

I think that if you have enough extra tasks and they're sufficiently goose then it'll continue to work, even if 'Press Y to Honk' isn't quite as funny the 245th time.

I saw that footie comic! Here's a bunch of other goose crossovers, some you'll have seen and some you won't. Worth it for the two sporting ones at the end alone.

Agreed. It's a very British game, despite the developers hailing from Oz. Maybe the goose heads off to the US to bother some southern country folks in its next adventure?

To be fair I'd love to see the goose getting in trouble with some Australian wildlife... but like you say I don't know how well it'd work without the quaint British setting.

It definitely needs to be quant, even if it isn't in Britain, angry Australian wildlife could change the game drastically. Christmas DLC would be perfect because you could even have the same ending and it'd make sense. I definitely wouldn't be surprised if we saw some new content, I can't imagine anyone of the many people who bought it wouldn't fork over for some DLC. A car boot sale has a lot of potential I reckon or some sort of summer fayre, basically any event that countryside/caravan folk go to.

yeah just think, could have Kola's drop on you from trees, Spiders and snakes invade your bathroom, Crocs just wander past near the river. And platypus's just being there
