| Simple question, really. In the light of Cadence of Hyrule throwing Link and Zelda into the Crypt of the Necrodancer world, which Nintendo character(s) would you like to see put into which indie franchise(s)?Simple one to start: I reckon Samus Aran would fit right into the world of Hollow Knight. Furthermore, I reckon her long-range arsenal and short-range weakness would make her a satisfying alternative to Bugface there. I'm trying to think of characters who would fit well in a Celeste game, but I'm drawing a blank. |

| Celeste is all about climbing a mountain, so I think it's obvious... the long awaited return of the ice climbers! |

| I'm a fool. A fool! I do wonder if the Climbers' hammers would spoil Celeste's purity: maybe they can lose them for contrived reasons in the intro. |

| Luigi would make a good fit for Celeste. He's definitely got some insecurities a magic mountain could help with. When he starts seeing his Badeline, it looks like Mario. |

| The hotel could be run by a lonely King Boo who's sad that Luigi never visits anymore. |

Yep, that's what made me think about that comparison, funnily enough! - OrangeRakoon wrote:

That's not Luigi - that's the Green Thunder, the enigmatic Mr. L! Let's not get silly with our comparisons. |

| Did you's hear that the main reason that Cadence of Hyrule happened is because Miyamoto and Aonuma got so addicted to playing crypt of the Necrodancer on Switch they had to talk to the devs? |

Any game that's good for Miyamoto is good for me! I hope. At least, where plot isn't concerned. I may as well suggest another game for people to think about: what about The Binding of Isaac? Kirby maybe? He'd be quite easy to turn disgusting, but would Nintendo ever let him be used in such a way? |

Well it's meant to be a physical representation of Luigi's insecurities, right? His whole character is that he loves in Mario's shadow. Waluigi, on the other hand, hasn't even appeared in a real game and I'm pretty sure he means nothing to Luigi. |

| His love interest is hinted at being Daisy, who's an Echo of Peach... so it's not wrong. |

| Ooh - Undertale, except with Ness from Smash Bros in it. They could call it Earth something something.
Sorry, I couldn't think of a legit one. Maybe Zelda doods could also be in Mini Metro/Spirit Tracks? Line management but with evil ghost trains. |

| Nah, I think your original one is legit. Not as a full-on Earthbound successor, of course; but now that Toby's on the Switch and creating (small amounts of) Switch-exclusive content, I could see him inserting a Ness cameo.
Of course Nintendo should really just outsource Mother 4 to him. |

| Earthbound is far better than Undertale pretends to be. I think partly why I wasn't impressed by Undertale was because I had only recently played Earthbound and it just doesn't compare, despite it's obvious attempt at emulation. Lots of people seemingly played Undertale and mistakenly took it to be original in its stylings.
I'd happily have Toby Fox write the music for some other games though! |

| I preferred Undertale to both Earthbound (which I never finished) and Jay's beloved Mother 3 (which I did). As for walking sims: Kyle Hyde, natch. Wandering around and investigating stuff was his entire 'thing'. And another one: Yoku's Island Express, but you're tied to Kirby. |
