needs to return / reboot

I was in my local indy store the other day with a mate looking at there retro (last gen) section. and i was looking at dino cisis and clock tower, i think both could do with a reboot. Only things that would put me off is capcom they did reboot DmC with ninja and i thought it was great but the fanboys moaned about it, and could see it happeing with dino crisis capcom making it a fps or something. then everyone moaning its not surival horror

I thought the DmC reboot looked great. The over-zealous Devil May Cry fanboys moaned about the character redesign, but when has there been an edgy punk protagonist with a Hitler Youth haircut? Plus the gameplay seemed just as good as usual.

I think Timesplitters is due a revival. The demand for it would be huge.

For revivals, F FLIPPING ZERO and Starfox. The former is obvious, and the latter hasn't had a great game since SF64.

Ice Climbers could be a really good target for a KIU-style overhaul. I'd say Yoshi too, but Yarn Yoshi might be just that.

Yup! Announced in the Nintendo Direct earlier this year.

Final Fantasy, Time Splitters, Skies of Arcadia and maybe even Harvest Moon.

Then there would be Samba De Amigo (there was a Wii version? THERE WAS NO WII VERSION), Super Monkey Ball, Jet Set Radio, Star Fox and Wario Land. Also: I'd freakin' love another Gargoyle's Quest.

Wario Land is ripe, as Stu says. More Secret Of Mana games, genuinely like Secret Of Mana, would also be most welcome.

didn't mean it in disrespectful way, but you now no why I never used Nintendo gamer much as it was just nintendo but with the new site being multi format qnd general talk hence why I feel more at home. nintendo is my fav out of the 3 but I wouldn't been able to copellast few generations with just one console and same with this new generation. as people have quoted im a gamer I want to play games no matter if it's on a wiiu or soon to be ps4

I still think of this place as a Nintendo forum, but if this place caters to your multiformat needs too then I'm glad. Just be careful with the fanboy slurs!

NGamer may of not had dedicated sections for other systems (why would it?) but there was always folk dicussing them in the off topic section.

Reboot FIFA. It needs a lava world and an ice level to really work properly.

I'd love to see Naughty Dog make another oldschool Crash Bandicoot game; but sadly, that's never gonna happen.

@masofdas & Balla: Oddly, I've talked more about multiplatform games since we kicked off this site than I ever have. More significantly, it's also the first time I've acknowledged a Sony device (Vita) as the provider of a genuinely decent alternative handheld experience. Good stuff! To be honest I like the fact that Naughty Dog change their game every generation. Fantastic company with some fantastic games we'd have missed out on if they'd have stuck with Crash

3rd answer: does anyone remember one of Epic's first games, One Must Fall 2097? It was a one-on-one fighter, but had a unique twist in that the giant robots were piloted via animatronics, so that the special moves etc. were governed by the robot, but the strength / agility etc. were based on the pilot's fitness. Also, a lot of fighters have a story that takes place during a fighting tournament - this being no exception - but they remembered to include the actual tournament itself, which opened up a whole series of additional NPCs, and an upgrade system.

Drakan needs a reboot or 3rd game. I never played the original on PC but I played the PS2 sequel and it was one of my favourite PS2 games, it's the only game I've seen that managed to do dragon riding gameplay and normal ground based adventuring right without screwing one of them up. I dont think of the games sold very well though despite the good reviews so there was never a 3rd game
