Especially this one I encountered on CVG- Balladeer, I think his name was. What a twat. Got a serious chuckle out of that. Don't hear enough "twat". |

| Sony has trademarked the name Fluster Cluck and Rockstar has renewed The Agent trade mark.
And Microsoft has trademarked Phantom Dust which was a OG X-Box game. |

| Yeah, I try not to think about this one. They're also pretty bad when it comes to conflict minerals. I know that I really should vote with my wallet, but I love their games too much, so I just push it to the back of my mind.
It's one of those issues where I (hypocritically) think "I'm not going to protest, but I hope other people do." |

| Isn't this just another case of Nintendo refusing to pay these investigators money, so they automatically get the lowest rating because they don't comply?
"I think you use conflict minerals! Please pay us £5000 so we can check!" "No thanks!" RATING: BAD
In other news, there's a rumour that The Order: 1886 on PS4 is delayed until 2015.

| Seems to be more concrete than that on the slavery front. It's not an F, which would be "sod off", for starters. And even if it isn't much more set in stone, is there any evidence behind having to cough up the 5k? If not, why would Nintendo withhold that particular data set unless they have something to hide? You can slippery slope that, of course, but it doesn't look good whichever way it's sliced. |

That's just what I've heard. There was a big NeoGAF thread about it this year. EDIT: Found it - http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=99035870&postcount=510 -- In other news, The Order 1886 is now definitely delayed until February 2015, and The Evil Within is delayed until October. |

| Angry forumites are not generally a reliable source!
In other news, Nintendo seem to have learned somewhat from earlier Youtube mistakes. |

Good - Let's Plays are a solid source of advertising and quite a few high profile Youtubers I follow either dropped or scapped plans for Nintendo playthroughs because of Ninty's stance on YouTube. I'd attribute YouTube to being a big reason as to why Minecraft has succeeded like it has. |

| I just saw that myself about The Order which now makes me think what's the PS4 big game for this holiday season, apart from driveclub they've got nothing. Same with there E3 they've not got anything to really show I can think off, apart from a brief trailer for Uncharted. It feels a bit like there resting on there laurels.
A new battlefield has been leaked called Hardline which appeared on EA's websites.
Wii U is getting a 3rd party game yay Lego Batman 3 Beyond Gotham out this holiday season.
Wolfenstein: The New Order has had the 2nd best debut week for a new game in the UK. Titanfall being the Number 1 best debut for a new game in 2014. New game as FIFA 14 might of sold more in 2014 in a week but that's a game from 2013.
Also on Stein the sales breakdown is 38% PS4, 31% Xbone, 12% 360, 11% PC and 8% for the PS3 which shows that Next Gen is where it is at for sales even with there smaller install bases. And is the best launch ever for the series. I'm surprised how well this has been received, I will be looking to pick it up in the barren June/July. |

| So many people who complained about the Wii U having nothing to play: I laugh at them now. Early adoption is a mug's game. (Albeit a mug's game I play every generation. ) |

| The PS4 does have 3rd party and indies, so plenty to play but agree early adoption is a bit of mugs game but it's not like the Xbox One which has gone down in price. Can't see the PS4 doing that any time soon, so doesn't matter in some ways if you buy a PS4 launch day or in late 2015 apart from the amount you have to play.

| That's excellent news, more people that can play there games the better.
Ohh Balla, Albeit a mug's game I play every generation. Well I think this is slightly different for Nintendo owners looking at Cube to Wii, there was 25 games released on the Cube after Twilight Princesses release in the EU. And looking at the Wii to Wii U, the Wii had 14 games in the EU in 2013, so you if you are a Nintendo fan you kinda have to buy there new system as the old one is kinda forgotten about right away. |

| I see your point, but I still got stung by price drops right afterwards. Would have been more sensible to stick with the (blossoming at that point) 3DS for just a bit. I don't regret it though. |

| Yeah price drops haven't been good for the Wii U if you bought at launch same with the 3DS, but then the Wii didn't go down in price for years.
Jas has made similar pointed about the PS3 it's still getting 3rd parties, so no real need to jump to next gen. So you can stick with that like how you could of stuck with a 3DS. |

| Hey, I have nothing wrong with That Game Company! Flower and Fl0w were lovely little games. Fingers crossed they'll actually make their next release a game instead of a bunch of pretentious bollocks. |

| That pretentious bollocks as you put it, is what got them the funding to which sounds like it will be used to make more excellent pretentious bollocks and i'm happy about that. If you don't like it don't play it when it comes out. |

| So, very telling (and depressing) quote from The Order 1886 devs: CVG: So of the three key aspects of a game - visuals, gameplay and story - which would you say was your priority with The Order 1886? Game director (Dana Jan): I think story and visuals are very high. Gameplay is something that... it's a game, we make games, we can't get around it. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/464912/previews/hands-on-and-interview-the-order-1886s-e3-demo-showcases-style-over-substance/ |

That same guy tried to pass off a subpar frame rate as being a legitimate design choice, to capture a more "filmic feel"... MAKE A FUCKING MOVIE THEN. Also, this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_A6Z3gkXlk Considering that E3 demo was to demonstrate the graphical fidelity of next-gen consoles, the end result is pretty disappointing. They shot themselves in the foot consider that demo likely convinced a lot of people to buy into the hype for the game - I know I did. And back to the Ninty YouTube business, seems like they're still going to be taking a slice of YouTube money from the folks supporting them and giving them free advertising by playing their games. Considering most games companies don't do this, a lot of big YouTubers have said they've no plans to play any Nintendo titles. If it's money Nintendo was looking for with this move, then they're only going to be getting pennies considering the real revenue earners on YouTube won't be touching their games. Why can't you be nice to your fans Ninty? This was a bit of a rant post. Jesus, apologies. |
