Yvetal's catch rate is 45 putting it at the same difficulty as the average wild dragon type, rather than the catch rate of 3 that most legendary pokemon have. To be honest I'm not opposed to the raising of the catch rate to avoid making catching legendary pokemon the chore it was before, but 45 is definitely too high, especially when they're now giving the player the o-powers on top of that.
Wow, that is pretty high! I don't mind legendaries putting up a bit of a fight, but some battles in the past have been a bit silly if you're averse to using a Master Ball.
The Pokémon I dislike starting from gen. III up are too numerous to list. There are some great 'mon in every gen, but they get fewer and further between from the third gen up.

I loved the third-genners. Absol, Sableye, Blaziken, Cacturne, Spoink... Quite like the golems as legendaries, too.

I generally loved the third genners. It was the start of the dodgy evolution trees for me, though. We started getting guffy starter evolutions like Combusken and Marshtomp. Not to mention it kickstarted the anthropomorphic fire/fighting starter disease that's plagued the games ever since.
Love such 'mons as Sharpedo, the Flygon tree, Torkoal, Walimer/Wailord, Salamence, and all the legendaries minus the hideous Regis. Plus many more.

I've always found middle starter forms to be a bit meh. I have an irrational hatred of Charmeleon, Ivysaur is lame and Wartortle whilst less lame is still the lamest of Squirtles forms. Then you just have to look at Croconaw *shudders*, plus all the Chikorita lot are shite.

Pokémon definitely have the "awkward puberty" problem in general. Flaaffy, for an example not already mentioned, or Shelgon. Dragonair's not bad, mind.

I have a huge soft spot for the Totodile line, so I've no issues there. And dare I say I probably prefer Flaaffy to Ampharos?
Plenty of crap out there, though. Graveler springs to mind. Kirlia and Loudred can go to hell, too.

I'd like Kirlia if they went the whole hog and made a male version to go with the Gallade line. Let's not forget Gloom whilst we'r dwelling on dodgy seconds... I was going to say Weepinbell, then I remembered all of that line is shite.

I'm actually pretty keen on the line, bar Bellsprout. Victreebel in particular: a psychotic pitcher plant, lurking in the African undergrowth. And Ampharos is one of the few Megas I like. Whismur and Loudred were mistakes: Exploud just about earns his keep by being a pipe organ on legs.

Some of the later sprite art makes all but the crappest Pokémon look adorable. I think this is HG/SS era for the older gens of monster; I love how rounded and cuddly they all look:

I quite like Victreebel. Moreso than Vileplume's lot, at any rate. The cartoon made me like a lot of unconventional Pokémon, though. Victreebel and Weezing were responsible for a lot of pain on James' part.

The Venonat in that picture is the cutest thing ever Truth be told I forgot James even had a Victreebel, that goes to show how much I care for it. Tbh I think I just hate grass types, I like Lotad's lot and that's about it.

I've always liked Victrebell over the Vileplme line. Could also be because Weepinbel was my very first shiny. Also don't mind Chikoritas line at all, it's the least worst of the awkward middle evolutions

I've no objections to the Chikorita line either, in fact Chikorita was my first choice on my first run of the original Gold.
Like most grass types, though, they're a bit of a tough choice because they're so fragile in battle.

Adding to the third gen love here: playing Alpha Sapphire has made me realise how much I enjoyed the gen's designs. Zangoose is a badass, and Swablu is a cutie pie.

Let that always be the case.
Anyway, three points:
Lotsa Pokken information out (check Serebii http://www.serebii.net/index2.shtml for details). Interesting to see Suicune, a non-biped, in the mix. (Pikachu can get stuffed.) Also interesting, but not surprising, to see an arcade control scheme that could easily be ported to consoles.
Discussion with Stu: what voices would different Pokémon have? I'm torn between gruff-Irish and Brooklyn for Diggersby, Clefairy would sound like a One Direction fan, and Milotic would have a Latino accent.
Discussion with ZJ: what would different Pokémon smell like? The one that springs to mind (after Roselia and all the different poison types) is Piloswine: like a large wet dog.

I saw the Pokken info, looks good and seems like they have consoles in mind due to the controls.
So I do hope the Wii U gets it .

Agreed on Piloswine! Skarmory smells like a new car that's been driven in the rain. Shaymin smells like freshly cut grass. Miltank smells vaguely of cheese. You're really asking the wrong guy (though I did start it!) - my sense of smell is rubbish.

I imagine Klefki would repeatedly say "Kill me" through a wall of phlegm. No idea about the accent. Dedenne would repeatedly be asking other Pokémon why Raichu isn't its father in a shrill, irritating voice.
